Andrew Sullivan as moderator for the gay debate? You have got to be kidding. Andrew would spend the entire hour talking about how smart and clever he is. He also has displayed nothing but contempt for the Human Rights Campaign which is organizing the debate. For Andrew its not about LGBT equality, its about his huge ego.

I'm a big fan of Andrew's. I read him every day.
That said, he's a partisan who editorializes freely with regards to both his disdain and support for the various candidates. This, unfortunately disqualifies him for the job of debate moderator.
