Will Obama Compete In Florida?

04 Jul 2007 10:18 am

Note that state is missing from this paragraph in a memo that Sen. Barack Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, distributed this weekend:

First, we are on a financial course that will allow us to both fully fund efforts in the early primary and caucus states, and also participate vigorously in all the February 5 contests, including large states like California, New Jersey, New York, Georgia and Missouri.

With Florida's delegate penalty, if Obama decided not to compete, a Hillary Clinton victory there would be manifestly less impressive.

FL is one of the early primary and caucus states mentioned in the first clause. It is not a Feb 5 contest like the states listed.
