How can Fred Thompson even be considered when he hasn't even debated yet? What a joke you Republicans are. LOL!
Hey Alex, you must not have been reviewing your talking points... you left out "K Street" Lobbyist and you forgot to smear his wife... you Fred haters are slacking. Thompson isn't entering the race late... check the calendar... it's not even September yet... and as far as knowing where Thompson stands on the issues... he's has a 10 year record in the Senate you can review... and since he's not flip-flopping on issues... you can figure where he stands today by where he stood back then... Fred will be the next POTUS... mark it!
How much longer before we hear about Ron Paul's victory?
A reporter asked Fred Thompson to name his greatest accomplishments in the Senate and he struggled to answer. Why is that? What qualifies "Fred" to be the next POTUS? He's white, has a Southern accent and drives a Ford-F350 to campaign events?? Fred has yet to debate and answer questions. He's not ready.
Yeah looking forward to see if Ron Paul gets more coverage if he does good..
In my non-expert opinion, Fred missed his prime window of opportunity a month or two ago. Rudy seems to have firmed up a solid base of support and has eliminated doubts in a lot of peoples' minds of whether or not he can truly win the GOP primary. Fred had the opportunity to have "Big Mo" on his side, but now he's going to have to fight against him.
If you want some Common Sense, I'll give you some. What is disappointing is the fact that your leading GOP candidates have spent an unbelievable amount of money to effect basically... nothing. If Romney, Rudy, and McCain can't manage their campaign dollars better than this, what do you think they will do with your tax dollars. Romney has spent millions in Iowa to basically help the state party raise money and show his ability to orgainze a field trip for adults. According to this site, Fred has spent a grand total of $10k on this straw poll. Let's see who gets the biggest bang for their buck. Don't be mad because Fred is a smarter candidate than your guy. Just remember how silly you sound when your candidate is broke, defeated, and hoping for a VP slot. Fred Thompson will be your nominee.
JWH, Fred drove a red Chevrolet pickup. GWB has a Ford on his ranch. Quite a few Fred supporters know the difference. Many others, apparently, do not.
Ford... Chevy... Yadi... yadi. Either way they (Bush and Thompson) are two out of touch GOP Rednecks that are clueless to the needs of middle class Americans. Barack Obama is the answer.
JWH - yeah, I'm sure Barack Hussein Obama is a real "Middle American." Bwaaaahaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaa! He is still trying, and failing, to convince people he isn't a stealth Muslim. Mincing Rudy is a non-starter. Mitt has a chance only because of all the money he is spending to buy votes. Ron Paul actually has the support of the nation.
I'm wondering why they would have a loudspeaker. Shouldn't those be reserved for those who have something to SAY? What do his supporters offer to vote for him - vote for him because of these glossy photos where Fred has a carefully crafted look of seriousness on his face? The only candidate saying what needs to be said, and not just what people want to hear, is Ron Paul.
Better Fred than Dead! I always like the folk who bring up his "support" of abortion. Personally, I don't see what us conservatives have against abortion. I support abortion because only libs murder their children. For some reason libs committing genocide on themselves doesn't bother me. Hell, I'll even pay for it!
I read the story somewhere on the Net, of the College Student Fredheads who literaly assembled the cash, campaign buttons and bumper stickers by "foraging" online, while on the road to Ames.It shows the grit Thompson supporters will demonstrate once Fred Thompson makes his announcment. I note the negative statements of others as true fear of Fred Thompsons impending candidacy.
Hate to say it, but what did Fred Thompson in was his wife's t______s. She is not fit to be a last lady, let alone a first one. Poor old Fred wanted one last hurrah by marrying someone young enough to be his daughter. It won't work in middle America.
