It's true -- as we reported yesterday, Sen. John Edwards is moving staff out of Nevada.

Does anyone else think this is sort of a stupid move? Putting all your eggs in one basket in Iowa, particularly when all the other candidates are going to be there, seems like a risky strategy. Edwards would have done better to really try to take control in Nevada (where nobody is right now), like Romney did in Iowa and New Hampshire despite being an underdog to Giuliani nationally. That way, if he does win Iowa, he'll have the Nevada Caucuses to fall back on when he loses New Hampshire. Alas, Nevada is being entirely ignored, despite being an excellent bellweather of the national mood.

Lev - I wouldn't say Nevada is being ignored. Just yesterday we heard on this blog that Obama is working pretty hard there. It just isn't getting picked up on the television news. Don't mean to imply he nor anyone else is working Nevada like Iowa, or New Hampshire or even South Carolina. But I don't think its correct to say he's ignoring the state.
