The problem with Thompson is that in 2002, when the nation was at war, and it was time for men of character and vision to WANT to lead, he left...for Hollywood of all places...I know his daughter died, and obviously that's awful, but he can't come to the party six years later and act like he wants to save the country now...he had his chance, and he chose to let it pass him by. We could have used him in the Senate, but he didn't want to work...I understand people like him, but you like a dream and a hope, not a reality.

Iowa is not a state in the middle of nowhere with an absolute disregard of fashion sense. Iowa State University happens to have a fashion program thats rated in the top 20 in the nation. The US gov't (and their corporate friends), already detain protesters, ban books like America Deceived (book) from Amazon and Wikipedia, shut down Imus and fire 21-year tenured, BYU physics professor Steven Jones because he proved explosives, thermite in particular, took down the WTC buildings.

When I first heard Fred Thompson was likely going to run, and then saw his conservative stances, I was hopeful. However, I now think he has waited a bit too long to officially announce. I also think he just doesn't look healthy, and the whole lobbying issue was handled poorly. The Democrats are going to win. And if Rudy, Romney, or McCain get in, then the Democrats still win. America is finished; it's people have rejected God, rejected decency, and are getting the big government, loss of liberty, and loss of living standards that they voted for. BTW, Iowa is an armpit.
