Won't most Iowa caucusgoers be in church during Sunday morning's Democratic debate?
Doesn't that mean that the news coverage of the debate will be extra important?

Or sleeping off a hangover
I thought Democrats were a bunch of secular liberals? I don't remember anyone making this complaint about the GOP debate on ABC.
not really with the press. they already have the standard ongoing storyline they've had for most of the campaign. They will just rerun it.
Who is hosting this debate? Which network is carrying it?
Nicholas: Actually, I made the exact same point for the GOP debate the other Sunday. I wrote on my blog on the 5th: "ABC News needs to get with the program in terms of technology and their debates. They just held a Republican debate this morning on This Week (yes, on a Sunday morning, while a good portion of the GOP primary electorate is out at church, and the rest of them are asleep… why they chose that timeslot, I’ll never understand)."
what "news" of the debate. the same people will say the same thing no matter what happens. Hillary who has the least substance will "win".. I could tell you that. The coverage of the debates is like predicting that the harlem globetrotters will win.
Look at the traffic any Sunday morning, and then argue seriously that the polling on church attendance is anywhere near correct.

Many (most?) Iowa churches have two services, one around 8am and one around 11am. During the summer a fair number of these churches drop down to one service, usually at 9:30 or 10. So the time should work for most church-goers.
And, of course, there are plenty of caucusers who are not weekly churchers as well.
