Does NM Gov. Bill Richardson belong to the top tier of Democratic presidential candidates? Or maybe to tier one-and-a-half?
His finance team attracted 120 fundraisers to a donor retreat in Santa Fe, NM this week. There, campaign manager Dave Contarino gave a detailed strategy briefing. He told donors that the campaign employed 200 -- rivaling the size of the Obama and Clinton operations.
Richardson himself stopped by for cocktails. Among the major Democratic financiers in attendance: attorney Bill Titleman, a top Clinton-Gore raiser, and developer Phillip Peckman.
Richardson has raised more than $13M since the beginning of the year. His finance director is Colleen Turrentine. She's assisted by Linnea Dyer and Jennifer Yoacham-Poersch.

I believe Richardson would get a lot further if he could somehow learn to communicate better. I struggle to follow his thoughts, he presents himself as seriously disorganized and disjointed.
He has more foreign *experience* than anyone...experience with success...but man, his delivery needs serious work.
Some of his domestic policy is not to my liking as well, but that could also be because he's not getting his full message across.
Bring him into the 1st tier...the more voices the better if we're ever going to find our way out of the morass we're in now.
