Romney Shows Legs; McCain Shows Wounds

Romney's first new ad in Iowa and New Hampshire.

And a John McCain web ad:

One ad is asking you to look forward with vigor ("Vigah" in Boston) and hope while the other is asking you to look back with pitty.

I might consider voting for the McCain of 20 years ago but not the current version of McCain.

I couldn’t have said it better myself, Liz. Soo true! McCain’s time has come and gone.

And Romney's time has also come and gone or should I say it was never there. He is the most dishonest politician ever. With all of his flipflops Romney is good only for the job of Used Car Salesman.

What we need is a true conservative like Brownback, Gingrich, etc. Romney is as fake as they come.

When are hypocrites like McCain and Romney are going to ask from Sen. Vitter's resignation? Why are they condemning and asking for resignation of Gay Naughty Boy Sen. Larry Craig but still supporting Hooker screwing Sen. David Vitter? Both senators are married.

As Josh Marshall says, "Let's put it this way: Vitter did more than slide his foot under a bathroom stall. He has as much as admitted to breaking the law by paying for prostitutes proffered by the D.C. Madam. He left precious little ambiguity in his public statements, though he didn't go quite as far as Craig's guilty plea.

But that is a slim reed of a difference. Is the only real difference for GOPers that Vitter was in for straight sex (though apparently pretty kinky straight sex, by one account) whereas Craig went in for gay sex in public places?

There's been considerable commentary on conservative commentators' double standard for Vitter and Craig. But it's a standard GOP senators are going to have to answer for, too. Let the squirming begin."

So can you explain it Romney and McCain? Romney and McCain are as fake as Craig and Vitter.
