I enjoyed his obvious "pleased I made the shot" but also liked how he immediately moved onto the importance of the age of that guy, how it was built in the 1920's, the 100 degree temp. and the importance of updating old buildings like this. He's always on his game whether it's basketball or the real reason he's there. He notices everything, which of course, makes him a winner in so many areas. Gobama!!

Edit: importance of the age of that building....

A very 'humanizing' moment. Unscripted, unstaged - and he nailed it! Nothing but net. I hope that becomes a metaphor for the rest of the campaign.

Quite a contrast with the fake athlete, George Bush, who can't seem to get on a bike without falling off or crippling a Scottish cop...

Eh, I'd like to see him go one on one with Bill Bradley.

You date yourself, Paul. Bradley's an old man and his knees are shot. You might as well have said "Paul Arizin."

If Obama had missed that shot, Fox News would have been all over him like they were on Kerry for dropping a football.

This little clip encapsulates the power that Obama has in connecting not just with basketball hoops, but with average Americans, and provides the reason why he's the most likely Democrat to win the nomination and the Presidency.

Hillary may have a faster, slicker rap and be faster on her feet in the multi-candidates "debates" but when Obama is one-on-one, or facing one opponent, he's unbeatable because he is real, while Washington insiders and professional politicans like Hillary come off as artificial, scripted, fake.

Don't underestimate his personal power and don't overestimate the polls based on name recognition. Hillary will win those national polls up until the time when Obama starts really using his war chest and the ads start running. Then it will be Obama all the way.
