Since When Is Tom Vilsack An Attack Dog?

Tom Vilsack!

Perhaps he is auditioning for vice president.

I don't think the Clinton team is too mad about this, btw.

He'd be an awful VP pick. Awful.

He can't attack convincingly, and he also didn't govern Iowa very well.

I agree with Joe. Plus, he's DLC to the hilt--he even supports private accounts for Social Security. Hillary would have to be nuts to pick him for VP, as she'll win Iowa anyway--it's the most anti-war state in the country, or thereabouts.

Strickland would be an appropriate choice--proven ability to appeal to rural/conservative voters while not giving away the store. Strickland is a dedicated populist. Actually, I think it will either be Bill Nelson or Strickland at this point--Hillary will likely carry all the blue states, plus Iowa, New Mexico, and Arkansas (giving her 270 Electoral Votes). If she can lock down either Ohio or Florida, the election's over.

Hillary has nothing to offer as President and her supporters know that.
They are shilling for Bill's third term in the White House, not Hillary's first.
