Newt Gingrich's American Solutions workshop kicks off here at 7:00 pm ET.

Subtlety, thy name is Obama. Distinctions ought to be distinct, as in, clear. His supporters are beginning to worry. Portfolio's Matthew Cooper has a slightly different, though no less interesting, take.

This is what Howard Dean feels like these days.

Mitt Romney is ready for action.

The Giuliani campaign responds, through Steve Forbes, to a worried Club for Growth.

Mark Blumenthal writes on two trends in the crosstabs of the latest New Hampshire polls. Hillary "can win" and McCain might resurge.

I just returned from the NYC Obama rally. I can tell you, the crowd of supporters there weren't worrying about any subtlety or apparent lack of clear distinctions. Although Obama gave mostly the same stump speech I've seen him give countless times on C-Span, the crowd of mainly young people had probably never heard that speech and hungrily ate it, and him, up. I've been to many a political rallies and NEVER have I ever experienced ANYTHING like that. You woulda thought it was Brad Pitt coming to speak.

The crowd erupted into screams and squeals the moment we caught sight of him. I guarantee you, Hillary would NOT have received this reception, even in her home state of NY.

The real question regarding Obama is not whether he will play into the media's storyline of wanting, needing him to go on the attack against Hillary; but rather, whether he has the organization and machine built up to turn that raw enthusiasm and excitement into votes at the polls, into turnout. Does his campaign have the ground game mastered as well? Or are they simply masters at turning out celebrity-like, exciting rallies? THAT'S the question of Obama's candidacy.

But it doesn't fit into the media's pre-determined storyline. So we now return you to regularly scheduled programming: "Why won't Obama go on the attack against Hillary?"

24,000 baby! Go NYC! I LOVE NY!!

Marc, you've got to blog about this!!

Obama opponents are the only the Washington establishment but the traditional NYC/ DC media alliance as well.

In other huge presidential news, here is unexpected news out of California: The GOP groups have STOPPED THEIR EFFORT to divide the state's electoral votes!

Marc will never blog about any "very good news about a dem candidate stories" or a "a screw up by a republican cndidate". Where is the story about Obama's rally or AP's major story about 'Thomson does not have a clue about current affairs - did not know about death penalty'?
