The Thompson Campaign: The Cast Of Fraiser?

06 Sep 2007 10:04 am

Trying to find a picture to illustrate this morning's post, I came across a spapshot of the actor John Mahoney, who played Martin Crane on the NBC television show Fraiser.

This is exactly what Bill Lacy looks like.

Intriguing: with Fred Thompson's recent weight loss, the candidate looks like the actor Kelsey Grammer.

i'm pretty sure that mahoney is not late. there was a rumor of some kind, but it turned out to be false.

John Mahoney is still alive. :)

This will come as very distressing news to John Mahoney.

Who's Niles Crane?!

As far as I know, John Mahoney is still alive. He has had his medical problems the last couple of years, dealing with pancreatitis, but he has been working again. His newest film, "Dan in Real Life", opens in theaters later this month. I know John would be unhappy today at the news that Luciano Pavarotti died this morning in Italy. John is a big opera fan.

Jim in Chicago

John Mahoney is still alive, he'll be appearing in a broadway musical this fall.

Ironically, Thompson now looks more like what Grammer's corpse will look like (many, many years from now, of course).

And who is Jeri, Thomson's trophy wife?

I wondered why Thompson was looking so bad. Weight loss may be the explanation. Losing weight may be good for his health, but I doubt it'll help his candidacy. Fred has lots of wrinkles, and losing weight has made them more apparent. He definitely looks older than he did some months back.
