It Took Romney Long Enough...

But even his rivals have to admit: when he admits he's proud of his health care record in Massachusetts, when he's not afraid to explain what he did, when he wields his accomplishment as a sword... he's very compelling. Say what you will about the guy: he expended political capital, he worked hard, and he did something meaningful to reform the health care system in his state. Very few candidates on either side can say that.

I say Romney is the best candidate I've had a chance to vote for in years and those who keep lying about him to win Brownie points look like hell on wheels to me. No, I will not vote for anyone for president who pulls that. They are not qualified or honorable, regardless of past history. This is day the Lord has made, deal with it.

GO MITT!!

I'm sorry, I lived in Massachusetts before/during/after the Romney reign, and as a mildly attentive watcher of state issues (Boston Globe, local NPR and TV news), I don't remember Romney playing nearly as large a role in these debates and ultimately legislation as did leaders in the State House and Senate. Maybe I'm wrong, and Romney was indeed active and indispensable. But let's actually look more closely before we give him credit for this.

Hey massman...Mitt signed the legislation didn't he. Vote Romney in 08!

We have a lot of good candidates on the conservative side, but noone so far measures up to Romney. He has the know-how to run the country, he is the most conservative. His credentials outdistance the rest. Giuliani is strong but I don't like the way he votes, regardless of what he says. He's a weak link for conservatism. I believe that we need Romney to win against the Dems. Go Romney!
