Obama As Liberal Wish Fulfillment, Too

A reader writes:

"Eleanor Roosevelt egh? Let's also remember that Barack Obama is the African American Community's realization of Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream Dpeech." So, let them keep touting those polls in SC. I remember when Hynes and Hull were beating him in the AA community right before they went 90% for Barack."

A better case can be made that Obama is the fulfillment of Boomer Liberalism.

No it can't.

Whee, unsupported claims are awesome!

Actually, I think that Obama represents getting past the boomers and their decades-long re-fighting of the 1960's.

New poll out, race is tightening. I think it was always close. But read them and weep HRC lovers.

As for Democrats, the New York senator is leading in an American Research Group poll of 600 Democratic voters who say they will definitely vote in their caucus or primary. In the poll out Sunday, Clinton leads nationally over Barack Obama 34 to 31 percent with John Edwards at 15 percent. Still, 14 percent of those surveyed between Oct. 9-12 said they were undecided.

Actually, Obama would be the realization of Progressivism, not Boomer liberalism. Clinton can be viewed as the Boomer's last gasp at the presidency before Obama and the Generation X'ers (or whatever you'd like to call them) turn the page on the old 60s battles.
