Ron Paul's Burn Rate

Mr. Paul is raising a lot... but he's spending quite a bit too.

I would bet that percentagewise his burn rate will be less than any other Republican candidate's (again). Whether that's good or bad is debatable. I can see arguments both for keeping powder dry for a late push, or spending early to try and build momentum.

BTW Marc: those "scientific" polls Ron Paul isn't doing to well in are worth as much as a Confederate $5 bill:

I think he kind of has to spend a lot now in order to a)keep raising, and b)make a showing in Iowa or NH.

During the third quarter the Ron Paul campaign went from regional to national. They opened up a bunch of offices and increased the staff quite a bit. Perhaps that is why his burn rate is a little higher.

How does that theory go? You have to spend money to make money. They are going for a $12 million dollar fourth quarter... that's balls on the table right there.

If RP can meet that goal, maybe he can motivate Americans to start working hard to pay off the national debt when he takes office. Wouldn't that be somethin'? Hey, it does look like freedom is catching up with fear-mongering in terms of fundraising success.
