Rudy The Traitor?

The tabloid wood this morning isn't that friendly.

Giuliani likes to tease Hillary Clinton by saying that while he became a Yankees fan growing up in New York City, she became one growing up in Illinois. The implication: she embraced the Yankees because it was politically feasible.

Now Clinton can return the tease..

"I took a city that was full of pornography and licked it to a large extent."

-- Giuliani, quoted by the New York Daily News.

Now Giuliani who likes to lick anything that he sees whether its a wingnut, neocon or his own cousin is licking every Bostonian.

C'mon, people of Boston, stand in a line, Giuliani is on his knees ready to lick you.

What a crock of shiat. He said he was going to root for the Sox against Colorado in the World Series. There are 2 teams in the World Series, most baseball fans will pick one to root for , no? I love how this is trying to played as if he has all of a sudden switched allegiance from the Yankees to the Red Sox to get a few votes. I got news for ya, I am a die hard Indians fan from Cleveland. I will also root for the Sox over Colorado, because I would like to see the eventual champ come from the AL. This is not rocket science. These idiots should go back to blabbing about fire department radios or some other manufactured nefarious Giuliani conspiracy. And people in the media wonder why nobody takes them serious anymore...

Associated Press, quoting Giuliani, 10/23/07: "I'm an American League fan, and I go with the American League team, maybe with the exception of the Mets."

What team did Rudy cheer for in 2004, after the Sox beat the Yankees and while Sen. Kerry was running against Bush?

A reporter traveling with Rudy owes it to us to ask.

AL team or not, rooting for the Sox is a big deal here in New York.

Rudy wouldn't be attacked if he rooted for any other AL team in the World Series; Indians, White Sox, Athletics, Angels, whatever, but NOT the Red Sox. New Yorkers ALWAYS root against the Red Sox.

And forget New York, he just cost himself New Jersey, people on the other side of the Hudson are probably more unified in support of the Yanks than here in New York.

"And forget New York, he just cost himself New Jersey, people on the other side of the Hudson are probably more unified in support of the Yanks than here in New York."

Look, I realize people from Jersey aren't very skilled at selecting competent leadership, but if people base their vote on who is supporting who in a World Series, they deserve what Jersey has become.

This "story" got a lot of coverage on the local FOX affiliate here in NYC. The newscasters spent the whole story basically laughing at the shamelessness of Rudy's obvious pander.

The sports guy said he had asked his 12-year old son for a ruling on whether it was permissible to root for the Red Sox under any circumstances. His response was that ever since what happened in 2004, no it was not. Personally, I'm a Yankees hater, but I'm inclined to agree that that ought to be the rule.

As a conservative I should really be scared of Rudy more because of this incidence. If Rudy can flipflop and say anything to get elected why should I believe him when he says that he says that he will appoint judges like Alito and Scalia? All the conservatives should be very very scared of Rudy since he can ditch up anytime.

Rudy wants a World War.

Podhoretz, Rudy's neocon advisor who says war against Iran is a necessity, on Rudy ...

“I was asked to come in and give him a briefing on the war, World War IV. As far as I can tell there is very little difference in how he sees the war and how I see it.”

He's doing to the Yankees what he did to the gays - roll over them on his attempt to get to the White House. The headlines in yesterday's tabloids should have read "Rudy to Yankees - Drop Dead"
