The Hill writes today about how Rudy Giuliani appeared to snub the religious right ....
I suspect the campaign will soon a find a way to show that they're not snubbing this constituency... just you wait.

The 'religious right' is a synonym for 'old south' IMHO. The SouthernBaptists have extended their faith well up into the former 'border' states and there are many counties in Indiana, Illinois and Kansas in which they are the most popular brand of church. It will be a cold day in hell when a Dixiecrat votes for Rudy. Can anyone spell 'Perot'?

Polls seem to drive policy. The Gallup is not one of your middle of the road or non-partisan polls. With Rudy's pro-amnesty stance, he's going to face a tough upHill fight to win over right wing conservatives. He'll get squishy moderates, if they don't vote for Obama (assuming the other Hill doesn't beat him).
But you're right on one account, the ability of propaganda to be put out by media spinners and the MSM itself, can make a Zawahiri look like an Orthodox Jew praying at The Wall, if it wants to.
