Citing Rasmussen....

Face it. No one watches these none stop debates. They are mostly a big deal to media types. Someone could fall off the stage on top of the moderator causing the moderator to die and the public would yawn. (or applaud)

Because obviously Rasmussen is a worthless polester.

Is Rasmussen an enemy of the Atlantic? or Marc? Why is quoting Rasmussen constitute a traitorous action?

i thought rasmussen was about as scientific as the online or text message polling? don't professional pollsters usually laugh at these?

The offense here is not so much citing Rasmussen as it is ignoring Rasmussen's own disclaimer! Rasmussen said that the movement in the 2 days after the ball was so small that it may well be statistical noise. Rasmussen also said that most of his respondents did not even know which party had a debate!

The reality is that, for better or worse, few people watch the debates and that it is the secondary sources about the debates--the nightly news and the talk shows--that affect public opinion, often after a considerable lag. So that's the real sin.

By the way, the Luntz focus group gave the debate to Obama.

D'oh. Typo in post above. I meant to say "2 days after the poll," not 2 days after the "ball."

Doug Schoen works for Rassmussen. he is the partner of Hillary's beloved advisor, Mark penn. And Penn has been known to go to other countries and skew the polls to make it seem like something it's not to influence people's votes.
Rassmussen polls are rigged. simple.
I read about it on Glenn Greenwald's column about a month ago.
