Gay Questioner On HRC Committee

28 Nov 2007 11:24 pm

Keith Kerr, the retired brigadier general who asked the gays-in-the-military question at tonight's debate is, in fact, on Hillary Clinton's LGBT steering committee.

He has a right to ask a question, but CNN probably (had they known this) should have disclosed it.

But, this just illustrates the problem, right? I mean, if you're gay and you're a general, and you think the policy is wrong, the most effective thing you can do is ... work to get a Democrat elected President.

"CNN, had they known this?"

Come again? CNN knew this and chose to ignore it. CNN - The Most Incompetent Name in News.

"CNN probably (had they known this) should have disclosed it."

PROBABLY?? uh, they should have disclosed it without a doubt Marc.

Oh, and what do you mean "had they known this"? How freaking hard is it to type this guys name into google and see what comes up?? Stop protecting your hack friends at CNN, Marc. Looks like Anderson just wanted to get a gay question in there, and it didnt matter who asked it.

Now she's planting questions at the Republican Debate? Has she no shame?

I forgot, its Hillary Clinton. Nevermind.

CNN: Clinton News Network. Most people have known this for years!

First off, I thought these debates were supposed to be for undecided voters, not people who have committed to one candidate so much so that they are on their steering committee.

Secondly, fine he got to ask his question. Then why did he get more time in a follow up to lecture the candidates. CNN gave him more time to rant than they gave to some of the candidates to answer questions.

There are so many major issues facing the country, and CNN seems to think that "Don't ask, don't tell" warrants this much time?

This smells like Republicans not wanting to answer questions about "don't ask / don't tell." How come?

So a decorated general is not allowed to ask a question because this particular general thinks Democrats might be better on gay rights?
My understanding is that the questioner is a member of the Log Cabin Republicans and has been disappointed in Republicans.
Well, JOIN THE CLUB!

Republicans should stop whining and just answer the question, especially from a citizen who has served our nation and has some insight into a problem.

And for those of you whining about CNN... Gag!
Yes, we all realize your candidate would have looked much more intelligent on Fox Noise.

Mr. Retired Gay General had been on guest on CNN a few years back, speaking in defense of gays serving openingly in the military. They knew who he was.
