Ron Paul Raises More than $2M Today

05 Nov 2007 08:45 pm

Can any Republican match this? What does that say about the nutrient status of the grassroots of the party?

What an incredible day to be a supporter of Ron Paul!

You have raised over $2 million so far today, putting us closer to our $12 million fourth quarter goal. This is more than any Republican has ever raised online in one day!

So far in the 2008 election cycle, the biggest day belongs to Mitt Romney. On January 8th, he raised just over $3.1 million. Will you help us beat Mitt Romney and raise more in one day than anyone has this year?

Please ensure Ron Paul's place in the record books with your most generous donation: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate. Tell your friends to donate today, too!

Okay, this campaign is starting to look kinda real. I'm paying attention now.

But, and here's a big but, the moment the GOP sees this campaign as being real is the moment the party starts moving to quash it. Today's Republican Party hates almost everything Paul stands for - a conservative foreign policy and libertarian approach to federal government.

Speech of Ronald Reagan's, funny, he sounds like Ron Paul.

The $2 million total is not accurate.

The number is $3.36 million as of now, and will probably surpass $4 million before midnight.

The republican party has been trying to quash Ron Paul since the first debate. The only problem is every day like this raises Ron Paul awareness and motivates his base. My prediction is that you will see similar outcomes int eh primaries that you see in the straw polls. There will be twice as many that show up as in past years. the typical voters that are currently being polled will show up and spread their votes according to polls and the disenfanchised and new voters that are Ron Paul supporters will show up and give 100% of their votes to Paul. Be ready for a shock come New Hampshire. Tht shock will only lead to further grass roots support for Super Tuesday.

What an incredible day indeed! And the fantastic part of it all is that the nearly $3.3 million raised already today comes from over 30,000 individuals. This is a refreshing change from hearing about Hillary, Rudy, et al raising millions in a day from a handful of people at $2300 a plate.

Support our great country and support Ron Paul!

Yeah, now the other republicans are going to have to start addressing ROn Pauls ideas. Can you imagine these guys having to defend the dept. of education? Talking about the federal reserve?

Ron Paul is going to clean their clocks!

It's Jesse Ventura all over again!!!

I gotta agree. I was on the fence about this guy. I liked him but didn't know if he had a chance. Well, I guess I was wrong. Also-rans don't raise 3 million in under 24 hours!

I have liked all of his positions so far, but who wants to back a loser? Well, I don't think that way anymore. I have never seen so many supporters go so nuts for a guy.

I read a lot of his stuff on the ron Paul library and wow! He is the real deal. I am glad he is now a real candidate!

He is everything I want, but was sure I could never get. Now, it even looks like I could get it. I am officially announcing: I am voting for Ron Paul!

There I said it! Maybe there is still some time before midnight for me to jump in.

SHOCK and AWE!!! BABY!!! The Money bomb has exploded. Money is coming in from all over. Doctors. Lawyers, Teachers, Military, Retirees, Accountants,Republicans, Democrats, Moderates, Right wing Conservatives, Left wing Liberals, Libertarians, Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Christians, Atheists, RON PAUL is the only candidate out there that can UNITE AMERICA!!!!!

God Bless America, and God Bless Ron Paul!!!! There is hope!!!!

I have heard enough comments about people not wanting to back a loser. Remember this. I do not know if RP will win, but do not give up the fight. I heard an interesting comment about people who only want to vote for winners. " COWARDS ONLY FIHGT WHEN THEY KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO WIN" This man is the greatest statesman in the United States. He will win if the message is heard.

More than 3.5 Million :D

Big news!

I was thinking about voting mitt romney, but it looks like Ron Paul really has a chance in New Hampshire and Ron Paul is the only one who will definitely reduce taxes...So I'm all in now...Ron Paul or bust! We can finally shrink the government and reduce taxes!

I am a Ron Paul supporter, and I APPROVE this message! The winds of liberty cannot be tamed!

Creedy: Die! Die! Why won't you die?... Why won't you die?

V: Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

I'm so glad to see there are people left who care about more than "what can the government do for me?" I've never been so pleased.

The best thing that could happen would be for the GOP to attack Ron Paul. That would put him at the center of every discussion. His name recognition would go through the roof and even the corporate media would be forced to give him commensurate coverage. Immediately, everything would be on the table for discussion.

Then Greenspan could be his repentant running mate...

Libertarians are tired of being ignored by the politicians. Libertarians, i.e. people who believe in maximizing individual liberty, though a minority, are a significant part of the populace. Paul embodies the libertarian spirit of Thomas Jefferson that just can't be ignored too long before it reasserts itself, even violently if necessary. Hopefully it doesn't have to come to that. Vote Ron Paul for a peaceful return to liberty.

This guy can win the nomination. His message is peace and liberty, not fear and war and torture. God bless America, God bless Dr. Paul

Donate a hundred now and save thousands later on taxes you won't have to pay!

Ron Paul 2008!

I donated. Did you? www.thisnovember5th.com

I've been saying it for months, and now maybe you bitchez will start to believe it: Ron Paul is going to win 45 states in the Republican primaries, and 50 states + DC in the general.

You've never seen anything like this and you never will again.

I am a career Naval officer who has been politically neutral for my entire life, but voting for Ron Paul is about voting for America and our Constitution--which I took an oath to preserve. I am now supporting Dr. Ron Paul with my wallet--and my heart.

FZappa is right. It's now or never! I'm just graduated college, and have a $200/month loan starting soon that will take 20 years to pay!! But if the federal government stopped taking $500+ from me each month, I'd actually be able to pay it! Why should my tax money go to illegal immigrants, pro-Israel lobbyists, Darfur, S. Korea, and virtually EVERY country around the globe...friend or foe. It's time that this nonsense be stopped! Stop saying you don't want to "waste" a vote because Ron Paul won't win. If you don't vote for him, of course he won't win! If you truly believe his message...donate and vote! Period.

Those of us who have been supporting Ron Paul for 6 months used to wince when the press gave him no chance at all; when his supporters were characterized as basement-dwelling nerds with no clout. Now the press has a plateful of crow to eat, and I am pretty darn happy about that.

This is fantastic, raising so much money from us ordinary people. I am sure this is sending shockwaves through the rest of the political community. "What? Ron Paul?!" Yep!
.

Ron Paul is America's LAST and ONLY HOPE.

There are some in the GOP establishment who feel like that the conditions are such that they can attack Ron Paul. My answer is: bring them on!

Wow. $3.8 million from 30,000 people and counting. It's an hour and a half before midnight of the east coast, and there's no sign that the contributions are slacking off.

If you vote for anyone besides this man, your vote is WASTED! All the others are Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. If Ron Paul does not win, it does not matter a whit who does.

I cannot tell you how many times people told me over the last six or seven months that I was wasting my time and money on Ron Paul. I just kept doing what I was doing. I was not going to see this country utterly destroyed without trying to do something about it.

Join the Ron Paul Revolution. The next few months are going to be historic. There's not a lot of time between now and the first caucuses and primaries, but we have 24 hours every single day between now and then.

"We have done the impossible, and that makes us mighty."

I hope somebody records the MSM when it talks about this event. I want to see thier reasoning on how this could of happened.

Please somebody be vigilant and record the news.

This is a historic event.

And you know, I was thinking.. Most of the 30,000 who donated an average of $107... are going to do it again next week! and the week after! We won't stop until the primary's over.. and probably not even then!!

It may very well come to pass the GOP and the conservative establishment will use all their power to try and crush Ron Paul as they Pat Buchanan in 1996.

But there are a couple of differences between Pat and Paul. Pat's coalition included only a few libertarians (Murray Rothbard, Justin Raimondo). It was very narrowly focused on blue-collar, male Republicans. Paul has a much broader coalition of support from libertarians to Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalists, you name it, they support RP.

Secondly, there is a whole infrastructure that has been built up over the last 11 years ready to handle the onslaught of the neocons. We have webites and magazines and bloggers too ready to fight fire with fire against Kristol's gang.

The only question is, will the mainstream media support the neocons like they did against Pat or remain neutral?

The official total has been posted by the campaign. $4.2 million in 24 hours. 37,000 contributors. $7.16 million since October 1, and counting.

Now maybe we can get our country back!

Yippy, yippy, yahooooooooooo!

Here is some information about a Senate conspiracy to halt Ron Paul's fund raising efforts: http://jamesrobertkelley.com/?p=3

Sean Scallon, don't be silly. Of course the MSM will support the neocons. Who do you think owns the big networks and newspapers? If any of the other front runners in either party wins, the bankers and arms dealers win. Look forward to asymmetrical warfare, with statesmanship and reason on one side, lies, slander, and scare tactics on the other. We knew what we were getting into.

I know the support is real. I've always been watching politics, but now my friends who could have cared less are starting to ask me questions about Ron Paul.

Is he for real? Does he really want to get the government out of _______? Does he really have a plan to cut taxes AND balance the budget? Can he slow down inflation? Will he stand for restoring personal liberty and privacy?

Well, yes. But don't take my word for it, look at his voting record. Regardless of beliefs, Ron Paul is the only candidate whose voting record inspires confidence and a sense of ideological integrity. And he believes in the constitution that limits the government and protects citizen rights, even if that seems "fringe" in an era when the government has unlimited powers and the people find themselves losing freedom and wealth.

Sean Scallon? No way! I read your book! It's about midwestern political history, and it's really good.

Go Ron Paul!

View this "awesome" ad on Youtube!

Spread the word.

This article is a bit outdated....we've raised $4.2M today and now have over $7M for this quarter and we still have almost 2 months to go to the end of it!

That was cool. What's next...?
Remember remember, the 5th of DECEMBER?
:)

AMen.. Ron Paul is the only choice! FREEDOM!!!

Actually, a commemoration of the Boston Tea Party is next...

http://www.teaparty07.com

$4.2 Million - more than 35,000 individual donors.

It just dawned on me. Ron Paul is the 'Moses" of our day.

Consider...
-they both had humble beginnings.
-the both had prestigious careers.
-they both spent time in obscurity (Moses in the wilderness and Ron Paul in Congress).
-They both felt a higher calling to do something that they were somewhat reluctant to do.
-They both were not taken seriously by the powers of their day.
-They both had a tenacity and pit-bull attitude about getting the job done.
-Moses had his staff; Ron Paul the internet.

And both have the same theme:

"Let my people go".

Wake up America - the Red Sea awaits!

4.2 million is the final number. It will be a joy to watch the media *TRY* to overlook Ron Paul after this.

Way to cut it off half way through the day, genius.
4.2 mill, $100 of it mine.

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?

How about donating on the 25th of December. Give America and Dr. Paul the best Christmas present ever.

Posted by a doctor, a republican, ron-bot, spam-bot, Paulite, nerdy basement geek, or whatever else the MSM wants to label me.

I will keep donating to Dr.Paul sharing his name, his story, his voting record, his honesty and principles to anyone who will listen.

Ron Paul is winning and will win the nomination and the Presidency.

Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Romeny, Ghouliani, Thompson, McCain, you are DONE. You are CFR world government war mongering gun grabbing tax and spend and WE ARE SICK OF IT.

Ron Paul is like Leonidas now, screaming "THIS IS AMERICAAAAAAAA!" The Persian army in this analogy is made up of democrats, republicans, the military industrial complex and the main stream media.

The very idea of "electability" is an interesting one, in that, WE THE PEOPLE determine someone's "electability."

It’s not the polls, or MSM or…whatever. It’s US!

The object of an election is to put into practice, at the governmental level, the ideals, that are consistent with the U.S. Constitution, I as a voter/taxpayer/American citizen deem beneficial to me personally and me corporately (being a legal citizen who cares deeply about my country).

It’s really quite simple: if enough of US decide that we want our government operating under such-and-such ideals, and we vote based on that desire (not the “lesser of two evils”), it can and does happen.

History, recent and not-so-recent, is replete with examples of “underdogs” triumphing: “Navy Beats Notre Dame, Ending 44-Year Losing Streak” (Nov. 3, 2007); “Appalachian State 34, No. 5 Michigan 32” in “one of the greatest upsets in college football history….” (Sept. 1, 2007); in early-2003, Joe Lieberman was leading the field for the Democratic Presidential nomination yet failed to win any primary; in early-1991 Bill Clinton was at 2% and went on to win the Presidency; in early-1975 Jimmy Carter was polling at 1% and went on to win the Presidency.

Would to God that we as citizens would approach the election process with the fervor, intensity and no-holds-barred approach that we can see in life’s other activities. I can assure you that, although some members of the Navy and Appalachian State teams had their doubts, they were encouraged to believe in themselves and to make the best possible effort they could, being unwilling to settle for anything less than that best effort.

No, no, NO, folks! Our job as U.S. citizens and patriots is not to "pick a winner," which seems to me to be a view which trivializes our opportunity and responsibility as citizens. We’re to carefully consider all our options and then vote based on what is best for our COUNTRY!

One by one, as each of us decides that our vote IS important and that we are modern stewards of this great country, for which so many have given so much, THEN we begin to realize what we must do.

For me, that means expending whatever resources I can to make right what so many have worked so hard to destroy: my country...the United States of America. This great land deserves nothing less than the best I have to give. Can I truly call myself a "patriot" having done less than I could for this great country? What kind of American am I to see an opportunity to install into the White House a man with demonstrable and impeccable credentials and then do little to nothing to forward that effort?

No! I will have no part whatsoever in sitting idly by as others who, in the name of God or Money or “Compassionate Conservatism” or “Honor” or whatever do their utmost to denigrate and dissolve this great country…MY country! RON PAUL for President! Viva la Revolución!

P.S. If someone doesn’t like the way the U.S. was designed to operate and opposes a return to that way of thinking and governance, I politely suggest they find another country that DOES provide all the services and care they desire from their government. (“Paging a Mr. Robert Altman and Mr. Alec Baldwin…Final boarding call for any and all flights departing America….”) But that is NOT the way the U.S. was designed and I, and millions of others, intend on returning the U.S. to it’s roots…it’s Constitutional roots.

Ron Paul can no longer be labeled as "long shot" candidate. He clearly has surpassed John McCain and is now a "top tier" candidate.

I have created a website to support this statement.

Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge for yourself.

We are going to be free! Ron Paul is likely going to sweep the 2008 elections! Id say the probability he is the next POTUS is 90-95% now.

People are screaming FREEEDOM! like William Wallace rigt now. They are going to have to kill Ron Paul like they did JFK or RK to stop him now, and I fully expect the MSM, military industrial complex and the CFR types to go after his life because the smear tactics are backfiring!

VOTE RON PAUL FOR FREEDOM, its your **LAST CHANCE** We will never see a man as good, honest and consistent as Ron again.
