1. Tomorrow: HRC's in Nevada and LA; Edwards is in NH; Dodd's in IA; McCain's in NH; Obama's raising money in TX; Ron Paul is in IA, as is Mitt Romney. On Sunday, George S. goes on the trail with Fred Thompson, Face has Edwards, FNS has Hukcbaee, and Tim has N/A. Joe Biden will spend the next 11 days in Iowa.

2. McCain campaign manager Rick Davis on strategy: "Everyone's caught up in this macro-strategy s--- ...it's a big waste of time."..... McCain calls for NH AG investigation into anti-Romney push poll calls... Romney's team makes similar request to NH AG through Sen. Judd Gregg...Thompson's comm. dir Todd Harris calls the push polls "robo-dial bigotry"....culprits still unknown...campaigns seek to track down and analyze audio....McCain's NH schedule hampered by snowstorm....Francis "Chip" Flaherty is one of the most influential social conservatives you've never heard of. He's also the brother of Mitt Romney's deputy campaign managers, Peter Flaherty......Dd you know that Ron Paul favors decriminalizing prostitution?

3. An Obama adviser on the storyline out of the debate: "It's back to where it was before Philadelphia." .... Obama and Clinton debate what it means to be middle class..."Obama Would Make Comcast's Interference with BitTorrent Illegal, Aide Says"....Dodd, Richardson, Edwards raise money off their debate performances. And Clive Crook has a blog.

5. CW says that immigration will be a wedge issue for Republicans in '08? Or will it? Won't the records of Rudy Giuliani (sanctuary city!) and Mitt Romney (last minute deputizing) defuse the issue and make it harder for Republicans to draw a clear line between them and Democrats?

Ron Paul favoring decriminalization of prostitution is mostly a moot point, because its generally a state level crime. Few get prosecuted by the federal government for prostitution violations. Obviously Ron would respect the right of the states to criminalize prostitution, even though his libertarian beliefs put him at odds with that type of legislation.

Ron Paul is on his way to winning the nomination. He is clearly a "top tier" candidate. I have gathered the evidence to support this statement.

Edwards is in NH tomorrow? He's been announced as a speaker at a mid-day global warming event in West Los Angeles, along with Clinton and Kucinich.

He favors decriminalization of prostitution? When was it ever a federal crime?

Marc Ambinder:

Regarding #5, if we had a highly public, completely fair debate about this issue, our choices for president would be winnowed to Paul, Tancredo, and Hunter, and perhaps Thompson and Romney. All the other candidates' policies would have horrific impacts on the U.S.

Your goal in the MSM is to avoid a fair debate, and in that case all their positions will congeal into a convenient mass.

What? Russert couldn't line up a guest from the Clinton camp?

Maybe he could try again...right after hell freezes over.

It is true that prostitution is generally a state crime but Paul's advocacy of decriminalization would presumably be relevant to the District of Columbia. (Yes, they have "home rule" but Congress can take it away or at least override a District law any time it wants to.) Of course Paul might not be able to get a law decriminalizing prostitution in the District and other federal enclaves through Congress--but that is true of many of his other proposals, as well.
