A trio of Michigan conservatives, all of whom have supported Romney opponents, are holding a teleconference with reporters later today to respond to Romney's speech. These folks haven't been friendly to Romney before, and it's safe to assume that they will react critically. They are: AFA pres. (Michigan) Gary Glenn, Michigan pro-life activist Jerry Zandstra and Prof. Harry Veryser.

Secular journalists I don't think undertand the theological points he was making. He carefully phrased his words in a way that is perfectly acceptable in Mormon beliefs.
Many people consider Mormonism a cult because words like "Jesus" or "son of God" or "Savior" or "salvation" or "grace" even "God" have been re-defined to mean something completely new, not what Christians for 2,000 years have understood them to mean.
It's complete word re-definition. If you are not a church-going person, let me try to explain. It's like re-defining the word 'classical music' to mean 'country music.' You meet someone who says "I love classical music" so you think you know what they mean. But then you hear country music. You ask them why they didn't just say they liked country music, and they'll sound upset, and say "I did, I like classial music."
In the same way, when Mormons say "Jesus" or "son of God" or "salvation" even "God" the words don't mean what Christians for 2,000 years have understood those words to mean.
I'm sure many Mormons are sincere in this, being unfamiliar that these words are actually defined in the Bible itself, not elsewhere.
