Hard to argue with that.

McCain has had a good argument against Romnet for some time.

McCain is too old. He even sounds exhausted. Even without much energy left, he can at least reap the exploits of his McCain-Feingold brilliance with nonsense from "media organizations".

It is the last throes of a mis-managed campaign pleading with the press to keep him in the game. I doubt voters will accept his "gutter", vindictive, angry politics.

I know that honest journalists and honest analysts like the National Review recognize McCain's exploits.

McCain really needs to answer his record. He has floated, flip-flopped all over the map this election cycle.

Don't waste your time. Just bow before HRC and her husband, Mr. Clinton.

They own this country. This is their paradise. Voters are just cheer-leaders. Her main opponent, Mr. Obama, has no right - no right - to deny HRC the thrown. How dare he try this? How dare? Mr. Clinton was the first black president. This helps HRC. How dare Obama steal what is rightfully hers.

I am a loser. I bet my savings on Obama. I pray for him. I will continue to pray, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. HRC wins due to support of the Press.

The Concord Monitor did an anti-endorsed of Reagan. Sounds like good company to me.

I have no idea if Mitt Romney is a phony. The real issue is can John McCain convince voters that he has the judgment and temperament to be President?

I would not call Mitt a phony. I would call him a slick political man. I am "Very Pleased" that Mitt Romney, was able to fool the stupid voters of Massachusetts into voting for him so he could enact "Conservative Policies" in this state.

Some say he is for universal health care I agree. This is what should not fool us fellow conservatives though. Mitt's state heath plan was created though Capitalism NOT Socialism. There is a Huge difference.

Both plans are universal care. The difference, Mitts policies were created though Capitalism.
Unlike Hillary Clinton's plan which gives universal health care though government controls and this is Socialism.

This is the reason we are spooked by the words Universal Health Care or U.H.C. Dont let it fool you. If issurance is agreed and not forced down our throats, then its called choice. If it is a choice then we can chose for or against it. This is a good thing for at least now we have an option and feel like we are in control of our lives. It's called insurance, and we all would like to have more of it, if its not too expensive that is. I do at least.

Secondly, Mitt again, was smart enough to Fool the Stupid Liberals of Massachusetts into thinking he was a one of them. HAHAH, god Mitt, Republicans need you to help us win some Elections with your smart savy ways. With Mitts brains we can make the idiot Democrats vote for us hahaha. Case in point, do Liberals VETO bills that Expand Abortion rights???? Of course not.

Mitt Romney Vetoed 4 such bills. I say Mitt Talked like a liberal but lead like a Conservative.

Ask yourself this Romney doubters. If Mitt is so liberal then why does N.A.R.A.L. and Planned DeathHood have so much comtempt in their baby killing hearts??? Just read what N.A.R.A.L. thinks of Mitt at the links below. They hate him. This is a GOOD SIGN. But what do I know im ProLife so im biased.

The facts below prove my points. Just take the time to read.

Now after read this new information. Im certain you will realize actions speak louder than Romney's previous words. The Veto Pen is quite convincing.

They're both too old school. Romney is phony and privileged and stands for the status quo. What does he offer? McCain offers nothing either except for occasionally appearing honest. Huckabee is a far right fruitcake. The Republicans have nobody.

This is a typical McCain ad....it quotes leftists in the media to smear a true conservative without stooping to mention a single fact or bring up a single positive about McCain. McCain is the one Republican running that would cause me to desert the party. It galls me that McCain didn't make Judicial Watch's list of the 10 most corrupt politicians in America. He was more deserving of it than Huckabee, or Giuliani, both of whom DID make the list. Remember the Keating 5??

Romney is phony and privileged and stands for the status quo.

I disagree with all three charges.

1. Romney is phony and a "flip-flopper! a flip-flopper." only to those who consider it a sign of insincerity or weakness for someone to change their mind when confronted by a good case to change their mind. In business, we call those sort of executive decision-making managers and CEOs - as "ex-managers, ex-CEOs". On the other hand, no one can accuse Bush as he blindly stuck with failed policies or failed subordinates as "a flip-flopper! a flip-flopper!" Which sort do you prefer? What about in real life? Do you prefer someone that knows they were wrong but refuses to change because they will appear weak? In policy, how would you feel about someone in politics that said after reflection, they think Roe was wrongly decided and should return to the voters of states - but won't call for it because they are afraid of "flip-flopping charges". Don't we risk being run by stubborn, bone-headed idiots if we continue to extoll the person whose mind was cast in stone in High School and never changed their thoughts on anything since then?

2. If you look at Romney's biography, you do not see "privilege" predicating his succcesses in life. He was expected to work hard and not spoiled as a kid - the "Mormon Way". He got a 3.97 GPA at Stanford and Brigham Young back when GPA meant something. Had his father not had money, he would have gone to Harvard anyways on pure academic strength and what his peers and professors noted at elite schools noted was an "exceptional mind".
In between, undergrad and graduate, he lived a sparse life as a missionary in France living in a room in with 8 other guys for 2 1/2 years.

At Harvard, he lived a frugal life with his wife and after being one of the top performers at both Law and MBA school, started out with no help from his Dad and did without until he could with his own money. Even when he had bucks, the Romneys for many years had a station wagon and compact car lifestyle.
He has given much of his money to charity and took no salary as head of the Olympics or as Governor. (His Dad was made famous as a CEO for people discovering for years he was declaring 30-40% of his pay "too much" and sending it back to funds. George Romney started poor and had no college degree.)
All the money Mitt made was on his own. He had no inheritance because his Mom and Dad said he needed none.

3. Romney does stand for parts of the status quo. He is still in agreement with many of the things the Ruling Elites want. Free trade, NAFTA, less taxes on the rich.
But in other areas, very interesting ones, he is not marching with them. For universal affordable Health care that comes from capitalist solutions. A committment to go to DC and do a strategic audit of Federal spending and veto excesses Bush and Delay and the Senate Porkmeisters of both Parties larded in. For radical changes that will make America competitive again in our educational system and our workplace.
Enough so that I think Romney offers the promise of significant changes in the status quo that Hillary!, Rudy, and Senator for Life McCain do not. With the tested executive ability to deliver on changes that Obama says he can do, but has no track record ever doing as a leader.

Hear hear, Mr. Ford, well said. McCain is an American hero, but a pretty petty bitter one when it comes to politics. I've seen him scowling and wincing at Romney during the debates, it is personal for him. I personally find Mr. Romney extremely professional, competent, moral, and possessing of a SERIOUS work ethic.

I agree with portions of chris mostly on the flip flloper. I have arrived at the same end result though. I am voting vor Mitt Romney becuase I Do Not Mind a conservative having to bend the truth a little bit so that he can win in Liberal Ma. It allowed him to Win right.

So I do not hold this against him. Mitt did great things for my state of of Massachusetts. Mitt is NOT A LIBERAL, so like Susan Lenns says Romney's "Actions speak louder than Romney's previous words. The Veto Pen is quite convincing". I totally hold this same position!

To say that Romney is a weasel is to give weasels a bad name.

He has no core. There is no ' there' there.

Like McCain or dislike him, there is a CORE to him that is steady and dependable.

The GOP has a big enough field that they can choose someone with authenticity and integrity - and neither word can be used to describe Flipping Mitt.

Rikyrah, I completly agree with you that McCain has a core. A core of supporting illegal aliens. Remember John McCain's vote on Senate bill number S 1639 ? If not I will refresh your memory.

Senator John McCain voted YES. This was on a measure to cut off debate so a FINAL VOTE ON PASSAGE of "S 1639" could be voted on. I am certain he would of voted YES since he strongly avocated along with President Bush, to Pass this Bill into Law. How we so soon forget huh ?

I have provided a link anyone who cares about Stopping Illegal Aliens on the Border, can look for research reasons, by clinking the link below.

Another thing I love about the dumb evangelical activists is that they swear they are out to convice other Americans to change their opinion about abortion. Then they hold it against anyone running for office that does change their mind, reverses, and comes out against abortion as a weak "flip-flopper" never to be trusted compared to an anti-abortion "true believer" whose pedigree is unsullied.

Smart. Really smart.
Not.
***************************
rikrah - Like McCain or dislike him, there is a CORE to him that is steady and dependable.

That would be the dependable core of McCain that has him regularly betray assurances to fellow Republicans that he won't "maverick" on a bill or issue - only to disappear in a back room to cook up a deal when Schumer, Teddy Kennedy, Feingold, Durbin, or a RINO like Arlen Spector snaps their fingers? Or the times he undermined Bush leading on-camera criticism of his policies setting the Dems up to follow on his critiques and give them cover because "The Great John McCain, Man of Conscience" agrees with us! The times he tried to lead, or did lead a breakaway faction of Hagel, Spector, the Maine girls, and Lindsay "the weasel" Graham.

The treacherous McCain, who Bush and his Senate leaders wondered when the next betrayal would come, and why? What motive would the cameras provide?

He was also passed over as Admiral, unlike his Dad and Grandfather, possibly on matters of temperment, at a time when the services were giving out strong "bonus" consideration for the POWs promotions.

I was a McCain Supporter until 2004 when I heard that John McCain was in favor of Closing Gitmo and giving terrorists held in Cuba, access to criminal defense lawyers.

I lost much confidence in this man ever since, and I am truely upset, because I still really like McCain because he is such a "tell it like it is" kind of person.

I still am going to be kind and give John McCain a pass on torture. However, in a general broad outlook, I do not trust his judgement on national security issues nearly as much as I used to.

I still give him a pass on some other things like being liberal on illegals and voting against tax cuts.

I can not understand why being a P.O.W. would change John's mind so deeply. I can understand this must of hurt him deeply as is likely why he has been jaded, and takes the more liberal view on this important subject of toruture.

I am partial to McCain still. I can't help myself, but not enough to vote for him in a Republican Primary.

I am either going to support Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani. I am still weighing Rudy's liberal ways, yet strength on National issues, against Mitt Romney's ability to lead on Economic issues.

McCain appears to me to be bullheaded. We've already had one "Decider." I would rather have a man who is open to change and a good listener than another Hawk who ignores the advice of experts, clings doggedly to his own bad decisions, and refuses to admit his mistakes.

Please do all the research you can on DR RON PAUL look at his voting record, we need this man. PLEASE HELP SAVE OUR COUNTRY. VOTE DR PAUL IN 2008 please help end the media blackout of this fine men that wants to help "we the people" get our country back.
