Thompson's Upping His Iowa Presence

07 Dec 2007 08:55 pm

DES MOINES -- In a brief stop at a farm bureau exhibition here, Fred Thompson promised a small gaggle of supporters that he'd soon "bring the kids" and plant himself in Iowa.

"We're going to crank up the bus and go from one end to the other."

A spokesman said that Thompson would spend the majority of his time in Iowa after December 17, save for a short Christmas vacation.

Nice eye contact, Fred

GREAT GOING FRED! I am with you ALL THE WAY! I am praying that God would go before you and open the eyes, ears, and hearts of the people to see that you are FOR THE PEOPLE and FOR AMERICA rather than for Political gain.
I agree, being President is not about a "flashy" (my quote) smile, slick hair, right suit, tie colors or even religion.
It's about getting America on track! It's about Knowing what your doing and how your going to do it and you have that!!! Go Fred Thompson!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a whole bunch.

PS my husband feels the same way!

Way to go Fred. If people listen to your message, they will see that you are definately the right leader for our time. Stand strong and keep fighting. We are behind you Fred!

hey lampwick - it is obvious you are biased and know nothing about politicking. You have no clue from this photo what is happening - you do not know if Senator Thompson had just finished speaking with the gentleman with the glasses and beard and was moving on to the next guest - or visa versa - if you had any clue about how politicians work the crowd you would know that it is very common for candidates working a crowd to reach for the next person in line's hand while finishig last words with the current. So lampwick - which is it - are you biased even though you most likely know nothing about Senator Thompson? - or just plain stupid?

It is plain to see Fred is more than likely looking at another small child. He loves children and the way his own adore him is proof of that! Aside from this, I would like to make a comment. My husband was raised in Columbus Junction, Iowa...neat Iowa City, Iowa. He was raised on a farm, had crops, cattle, hogs and attended all schools in Iowa. He was Luthern in Iowa, but, after being in the army and overseas in the 70's, he moved to Arkansas where we now live and we are both Southern Baptists. We will not support Mike Huckabee and if he is the nominee, I will have to write in Fred's name. Matthew 7:15 and 24:24 describe in bibical terms my not voting for Huckabee. I only pray that Iowans and the rest of the country will take a real look at Fred and what a good person he is, but, not only that but the intelligence that this may has. I could sleep well at night knowing this man if the head of the country that I love.He is dedicated, sincere, a Christian man with good moral principles and also stands tall for the principles of our constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Please Iowans and America, think hard about your decision...not, just for yourselves, but for your children and your grandchildren....Signed an Arkansas and an Iowan!
