How will the media spin Ron Paul finishing 3rd ahead of McCain, Thompson and Guiliani? It'll be
Yeah, a comment. I'd love you to ask why Iowa and NH of all the States have been given the importance of selecting, as a practical matter, who the candidates are and by what rationale this favortism in the primary system should continue? I wonder if the years have bred a strong sense of entitlement you might get back from responding Iowans. The second question you might ask Iowans is if the present importance of the caucuses and role of activists vs. ordinary people has skewed Iowa into a very untypical representation of the US vote where activists have worked for the last two decades to enhance the power of Leftist groups, evangelical groups, single issue corporatist lobbyists to force candidates in their column. If that is a disservice to the citizenry of the nation as a whole? Democrats nationwide are not typically as Leftist, nor is Iowa as a whole, as those dominating the Democrat caucus machinery. And on the Republican side, while Iowans are more religious than the North or the West, they are not as evangelical as the South, except for those who have targeted control over the caucuses...
Looks like New Hampshire will be were the race really takes shape. Unless Hillary and Giuliani win going away in IA (for Rudy, that's most definitely not going to happen - not even a top-3), NH will be where the frontrunners emerge. http://www.political-buzz.com/
We should NEVER Ever again trust the voters of Iowa or New Hampshire if they elect Huckabee and McCain. As a GOP supporter they do that and I've had it with them once and for all. People of Iowa and New Hampshire should be ashamed of themselves when given the chance to elect a real outsider GOP candidate they're ready to choose a moron who does nothing but preach about God..what is wrong with us!.. Romney spent a lot of time in Iowa, worked very hard in Iowa and now this snake-oil preacher named Mike Huckabee is going to steal this from him. If the GOP has any guts next time around they will take away Iowa and New Hampshire's delegates for they have no obvious intelligence left.
Do not be a tool for the Clinton Attack Machine. At least have the courage to stand up for the Bill of Rights. Do not do what the Register editors (all female) did - get pressure from Bill Clinton and endorsed his wife. Do not do what Charlie Rose did - accept all the bull-shit from Clintons. In other words: Take the role of an umpire, not a cheerleader for the Clintons. Support Obama
"Romney spent a lot of time in Iowa, worked very hard in Iowa and now this snake-oil preacher named Mike Huckabee is going to steal this from him." Ha ha ha, so fun to watch. Romney has no soul though. If Huckabee is a snake-oil preacher, then Romney is a snake-oil salesman.
"Romney spent a lot of time in Iowa, worked very hard in Iowa and now this snake-oil preacher named Mike Huckabee is going to steal this from him" And Romney spent a lot of money as well. He has paid his county chairs and other operatives (like GOP county chairs) a minimum of $500 a month for GOTV consulting (GOTV--Get Out the Vote). Paid shills, to use the vernacular. From last quarter--the total amount for GOTV: From last quarter--who was paid for GOTV:

Mark, on Dec. 17th, you commented on the daily trading results of the NJPSE. I've been following it since then and I'm curious about what its results are based on. Despite Edwards' performance in the Iowa polls (looks like he's gotten a positive bump in the last few weeks), the NJPSE shows him WAY behind Obama and Clinton as likely to win Iowa. Why do you think that is and is there a history of the NJPSE being wrong/right on its predictions?

I'm an Obama fan, but I think Iowa is a toss up at this point. Still interested in your feedback on the NJPSE though. Thanks.
