Caucus: How Much Has Romney Spent?

03 Jan 2008 04:49 pm

We won't know until the end of January, but rival campaigns estimate that he's spent $30M on television ads alone, and he's spending roughly $3M per week.

On the high end, it's conceivable that Romney will have spent about $100 million through New Hampshire. He'd spent about $53M through the third quarter.

when you spend that much on marketing and the product still doesn't sell, maybe there is something wrong with the product?...
Would that be something a Harvard MBA should know?...

Actually an MBA would know that plenty of products fail for reasons other than money and quality of product.

Most MBA grads would know that a superior product often fails in the marketplace simply because it is not accepted, too different, not cleary understood, etc.

But your cute analogy wouldn't work then if you had even the most basic understanding of product marketing.

Romney lost because he was painted as someone with no convictions and because of religious bigotry. The combo brought him down. Huck is definitely playing underhanded politics and doing a great job of getting away with it.

Yeah but you can only paint a picture with whatever colors you have to start with on a palette...and Romney's aint all pretty. They clash when you mix the new with the old.

But Huck scares me wayyyyy more. Yikes.

Anyway this is why I am happy I am a gay democrat and don't have to worry about chosing between either one of them.
