Anti-Thompson Oppo .... In South Carolina

Read the e-mail by the folks at "Columbia Christians For Life" after the jump.

Pro-Abort Fred Thompson exposed at SC NRL's annual march and rally in Columbia

Large "Fred Thompson is NOT Pro-Life" sign shown to crowd of march and
rally participants - flyers distributed exposing Thompson and SC Citizens for Life.

Like the Pro-Choice National Right to Life [sic] abortion-regulating incrementalists, their
SC NRL [sic] chapter also endorsed Pro-Abort Fred Thompson. In his campaign commercials
being televised in South Carolina, Thompson is touting the endorsement he has received from
these Republican Establishment lapdogs, and compromised betrayers of both the unborn and
the sincere pro-lifers who work to end their slaughter. Both NRL and SCCL have refused to back
fetal "Personhood" legislation, the key to ENDING, and not just perpetually REGULATING the
horrific crime of child-murder-by-abortion.

SC's National Right to Life [sic] chapter endorses Pro-Abort, CFR-member Fred Thompson

The Fred Thompson campaign bus was actually parked in the march assembly area
prior to the beginning of the march. Steve Lefemine, Columbia Christians for Life,
displayed a large sign, "Fred Thompson is NOT Pro-Life," to march and rally attendees --
while Anne Rainville distributed flyers, exposing Pro-Abort Fred Thompson and the
effectively "Pro-Choice" opponents of SC's fetal "Personhood" bill (H.3284/S.313 - the
Right to Life Act of SC), South Carolina Citizens for Life [sic].

Almost 150 two-sided flyers passed out to march participants and rally attendees:

Am I the only one having trouble making any sense of that e-mail?

Ambinder,

You have to do a little leg work before you repost this stuff. You just gave air to some of the most out there folks on this planet. The guy mentioned in the email, Steve Lefemine ran in the 2nd Congressional in SC and ran TV ads that were so visably disgusting that the networks had to run a disclaimer before it came on...ya know, dead babies and such.

Just because they sound like a legit group, does not make it so. They stand outside of the Statehouse everyday with dead baby pictures for all to see. Their rallies consist of a couple of people. They are not a legit group.

Not that interested in defending them, but what exactly is not legit about that?

I googled Lefemine's name and found his blog http://lefemineforlife.blogspot.com/. He touts CFR, NWO, and Illuminati conspiracies all over it. He's a Constitution Party member. I doubt Thompson's campaign will be damaged by him. Shouldn't he be campaigning for his party's candidates?

Scratch that. He's NOW a declared Independent. It would be interesting to see who he DOES endorse.

Anyone want to bank on odds that it will be Huckabee?

If he touts CFR conspiracies, I don't think he'll be endorsing Huckabee (one of Huck's principal foreign policy advisors is head or chairman or something of the CFR). Paul seems like a better bet.

Steve Lefemine is a graduate of West Point and a former Army officer. He has not endorsed any candidate for President; but if he does, I will take his endorsement under consideration as he is also a pro-life missionary who lives his Christian beliefs without compromise.

I was there at the NRTL rally in Columbia and this guy is a total nutjob. He had a bullhorn and this elderly lady was passing out these fliers stating that the National Right to Life, the SC Citizens for Life and Fred Thompson were not Pro-Life. Nuff said.
