Talk about some Obama mojo heading into Super Tuesday. Or will Hillary's "win" in Florida be bigger news? Ha, ha...

Yes, matt, the eyes of the country turn to the monumentally important Florida Democratic Beauty Contest. I expect Hillary! to get a solid 20-point bounce out of her 9 point victory there.

Besides, only about 57% of Democratic primary voters consider themselves liberals like Ted Kennedy.

Ted & Caroline are going to stand next to Obama tomorrow to make the announcement, according to The Boston Globe. Love that image!

It's funny how the GOP race became an evocation of Reagan, and now the Demmocratic race will become one of JFK. Now that Ted's endorsed, maybe Billary figure they have nothing to lose and will drop a Bay of Pigs comment or two.

Deval Patrick, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy... what about Tom Brady?

All, You are not in the same league as the two Clintons' attack machine. No one has ever defeated them. Ever. Forever.

The bait (race, gender, and ethnicity) is now embedded in our blood stream. We cannot have a blood transfer.

I fear the worst. I fear that the Clintons will seriously hurt Obama. I fear that they will take apart his spirit. I fear that even if Obama wins (A BIG BANG IF), the Clintons' will force themselves as VP. Thus, Obama will become a useful tool to them.

In sum, the Clintons will win. This is an axiom. It cannot be proven wrong.

There is of course ONE WAY (and ONLY ONE WAY) to defeat the Clintons. Now and Forever.

- Make the Media zero-in on the supposedly "35" years of experience of HRC, the spousal beneficiary. As a starting point, read Colbert I. King's essay in WashPost (1/26)
- Demand the Clintons papers (especially between the Clintons) to be accessible to all now (or GOP will demand them in General - Have the Press say this again and again).

If these two things happen then and only then the Clintons will be defeated.

The Kennedy association should help Obama among older voters, with whom Hillary has a strong advantage currently

If I were his campaign manager, I'd run national ads which include the Kennedy endorsement. If they have money to spend, the next 9 days is the time to spend it. I'd also go on every national television program possible before Super Tuesday...

Obama has not fully entrenched himself in the national consciousness yet the way the Clintons obviously have. Becoming as ubiquitous as possible can only help him. Stump speeches and local events are chump change compared to national media -- get plenty of sleep and plenty of media.

Kennedy has worked with every important Democratic and Republican leader of the last forty years. He knows what it takes to lead. If his endorsement doesn't mean a tremendous amount to you, you're not a Democrat - you're a Clintonite.
Rather than damage the Democratic Party with race-based, divisive politics, why don't the Clintonites come clean and start a third party?
This isn't about race, it's as Andrew Sullivan said, a generational conflict. As the title of his article in "The Atlantic" states: "Goodbye to All That".
Enough with Boomer arrogance and Crony Capitalism. Time for a Change.

Lampwick, I believe Brady is currently an independent, so an Obama endorsement is far from impossible.

I always thought Tom Brady was a big-time Republican...

I agree fougasseu. Most of us who lived through the Kennedy coming of age remember the palpable excitement of *turning the page* back then.

And it wasn't about chronological generations but more ideological generations. New thinking, outside the box -v- stay the course. That's fitting now as well...I'm old, and I'm seriously excited for a new way of electing, governing.

You simply can't achieve that sort of shift by supporting a status quo candidate.

As I look through the list of superdelegates, it's not just the electorate that's generationally divided. The old school thinking, safety seekers have long ago *committed* to the Clintons. It will be interesting to see if they stick with them or quietly slink away and hope no one noticed.

Edwards and Obama supporters ought to scan the list of superdelegates for their representatives...especially if your state hasn't voted yet. A phone call or two seems to be in order to those you disagree with...at least until the voters of your state (that elected them, thereby elevating them to superdelegate status) have had their say.

These people work for us, not the other way around.

"We can no longer afford to build ourselves up by tearing someone else down. We can no longer afford to traffic in lies or fear or hate." Barack Obama

Vote hope, not fear. Vote unite, not divide and conquer.

No kidding--put the fear away and start believing again. Change will happen if we demand it! Why are people still wiling to settle for less? This country has settled for less for far too long and that is not the way to be a world wide leader. The Clinton's lack integrity and vision. The American people are getting sick of the daily drama. Have we all forgetten the drama of the 1990's and the reason that the Republicans took the White House back in the first place?

Yes.We.Can.

BTW-Any word on a Gore endorsement? I hear the whispers are getting louder that it may happen this week?

Why on earth would anybody think Obama would even consdier a Clinton VP??? If he wants a woman as VP, there are several Governors who are Democrats and would do him far, for more good -- and without the negatives Clinton brings with her.

What benefit, in a General Election, would Clinton provide? The down-side is certainly obvious. Is there any up-side?

Ohhhh Paleeze--Ted Kennedy is the epitome of the status quo and lack of change--THink about it people he has been in politics for 40 years and to cowardly to ever run for President. At least his brothers had guts. Besides for those of us that grew up in Florida-- we remember him using his political clout to save his nephew from going to jail for raping a girl---wow such a moral endorsement---perhaps Obama can give us an ethics lesson on the use of political power for a family member to avoid rape charges and litigation--oh I forgot he just uses State Senator stationary to suggest to someone that Rezko should get that bid.... Give me a break people this is all about a male versus a female because a female President would put an end to white male supremacy in this Country--but wait Obama is not quite all white but I guess he will do for the goood ol' boys.
