Whatever- Huckabee has denounced this type of activity...I guarantee his staff has nothing to do with this because HIS STAFF ISN"T BIG ENOUGH..as if half dead Fred actually has some kind of chance...gimme a break...he is only running for President when the cameras are rolling...It seems there are some Republican establishment types that are working harder against Huckabee than they would against Hillary ..trying to find anything they can to pin on him...it's shameless. He is by far the most articulate and fresh voice the republicans have had in a LONG time and those that are trying to drowned him out will only hurt the party long term. He will pull his weight in SC. I just hope he takes off the kid gloves and puts on some brass knuckles because he has turned the cheek one to many times. I hope he has it in him.

I got this too, but mine was railing against McCain and Romney. I tried to report it to Ross Miller's office but the lady I spoke with didn't even know what I meant by a "push-poll." The best question was "Do you agree with Senator Reid's plan to pull troops out of Iraq and surrender the country to Islamic terrorists?"

I got the same call in Michigan a few weeks ago. The calls didn't help him in Michigan though. Huckabee says he doesn't condone these calls, it's time he steps it up a notch and demands an investigation, don't you think?

I believe the issue in South Carolina is that they are illegal since they are "automated" calls.

I believe that a phone call from Huck would make them stop. But Huck has a bit of a history of saying one thing while meaning another. Remember before Christmas, he wanted to make peace with Rush, but couldn't because he didn't have his phone number. Yet we found out later that his Arkansas staff has Rush's number but it was never used.

"I just hope he takes off the kid gloves and puts on some brass knuckles because he has turned the cheek one to many times."

Like the brass knuckles he used on the Arkansas police when they tried to investigate his 17-year-old son for hanging a stray dog, eh Tim? It's a shame the "Christian" candidate can only back up his image with words, and not his record.

The pro Huckabee push polls are being done by Common Sense Issues. They where running push polls in NH and MI for Huckabee and of course, now in SC. Three primaries, same company, same push to Huckabee. Yea right, he does not know about it and support it.

The Hucklepuss is all wadded up with denials and platitudes, but things are what they are. Mike has pretty much demonstrated he has "big fish, small pond" syndrome. He is used to being able to lie and then bully and bluster over anyone who catches the lie. Can't do that in the big arena. Can't do that with that eye either, it makes him look guilty.

to Tim Kelly:

Update your knowledgebase. You are LYING when you say Thompsonis only campaigning when the Cameras are there.

He has been bigtime campaigning in SC, personally doing many stops a day and has done it non-stop since Iowa. And been doing local radio and paper innerviews, as well as the overflow crowds at every stop.

So get your head out of your 4th point of contant (Airborne term, look it up).

Huckabee has lied/distorted repeatedly about his record, and has engaged in this kind of underhanded garbage since he started getting noticed by the press. But the "push poll" of this sort is ILLEGAL in SC, and some Fredheads are preparing to go to the State AG over it and may drag Huckabee into court.

Huckabee is dirty. Always has been, always will be. Go back to the hard drives, and taking the drapes fromthe Gov mansion, not to mention the honoraria and "donations" that ended up being quid-pro-quo. And dont get me started on how soft he is on illegals, going back to coddling the Mexican Consulate and charging in a dollar rent ...

Gomer is glib, folksy and a LIBERAL outside of social issues. A know-nothing populist, Nanny State candidate with Jimmy Carter's naieve foriegn policy. He's dead wrong for the Republican Party and for America.

I got the same thing here in Nevada, railing against Rudy. There was, of course, no mention of judges, which is what conservatives who care about both social issues and conservatism care about.

I didn't know Huckabee had "condemned" them. I just thought the push poll demonstrated his total ignorance/contempt of federalism, liberal democracy, and the Constitution. I didn't realize it was also further proof of his two-faced Clintonian style politics.

It's possible that the Huckabee campaign is doing it, but neither campaign or supporters have that kind of money to do an operation like that.

It's probably coming from the romney campaign. A Romney staffer has already resigned because of the his connection to a company that did the "Anti Mormon" push polling, Western Wats. If Huckabee and Thompson are busy bashing each other over the push polling issue, then Romney can sneak in unscathed and do well in South Carolina.

Tim Kelley, I'm sorry, but you're just wrong.

"Whatever- Huckabee has denounced this type of activity...I guarantee his staff has nothing to do with this because HIS STAFF ISN"T BIG ENOUGH.."

Yeah, because it totally takes dozens or hundreds of staff members to sweet-talk a polling organization into making a push poll.

"as if half dead Fred actually has some kind of chance...gimme a break...he is only running for President when the cameras are rolling..."

Tell that to the Iowans who saw more of Fred day-to-day than any other candidate as the caucuses approached. Tell it to the South Carolina folks who see Thompson at least a few times a day. The "lazy" meme is so ridiculous it's a wonder it's lasted this long.

"It seems there are some Republican establishment types that are working harder against Huckabee than they would against Hillary ..trying to find anything they can to pin on him...it's shameless."

Oh, so pointing out that Huckabee is a conservative on social issues only and has no foreign policy credentials is an attack now, huh? The conservative mantra is Strong defense, Hands-off government, Family values. Huckabee is 1 for 3.

"He is by far the most articulate and fresh voice the republicans have had in a LONG time and those that are trying to drowned him out will only hurt the party long term. He will pull his weight in SC. I just hope he takes off the kid gloves and puts on some brass knuckles because he has turned the cheek one to many times. I hope he has it in him."

He's an articulate and fresh voice, but not for the Republicans. Raising taxes and spending by over 40% during a governorship is not conservative by any measure. Oh, and he's also slick like Bill, i.e. with the ad he was "too Christian" to show to anybody...except a crowded media room full of jounalists and cameras.

Comparing Huckabee to Clinton is unnecessarily harsh. You can compare him with W, and then increase the negatives (exponentially, imho), to get a good idea of a Huckabee administration. In the past, I have wished Bush was more glib - but after seeing Huck I have done a 180 on that. REAL conservatives only, please.

How is Huckleberry going to stand up to the Islamofascists if he cannot stand up to this group?

If the Huckster REALLY wanted the calls to stop, they would stop. He need only tell the group the calls are hurting him rather than helping him.

I got the same thing last night, railing against Romney. So I don't think Romney is behind it.

I wish I'd had the foresight to record my call like you did, but I did write about it here:
http://www.lifepundit.net/2008/01/do-you-want-to.html

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.

This passage reminds me of Mike Huckabee. He is leading the people astray. He goes into the churches for a jamboree all the while proclaiming he was a baptist minister. He was called to the Lord to be a minister but now he wants to be a King.

The push poll that Huck is running is against Romney as well I just got it here in Florida.
Of course Fred would get this message. If all the Fred votes went to Huckabee he would win SC then
be front runner in FLorida. Who are you kidding
that Fred is not a Factor!?

There are some ugly push polling against Romney here in Florida that are identical to the ones
toward Fred T. of not supporting Pro Life.

Romney is Prolife and Huck is inderectly in control
of this story telling.

You know what though... That dog won't hunt!
(cause his son killed him)
