The new WMUR poll of New Hampshire was just released and it has Clinton boosted up by 6% and retaking the lead, albeit a very small one. 
That just seems like such an inauthentic attempt at authenticity, I'm squirming in my seat watching it. I feel sorry for Iowans who have to watch that.

I think this ad shows that when Hillary tries too hard not to sound shrill, she ends up sounding patronizing instead. She is really between a rock and a hard place on that.
I'm not a Hillary supporter...I tend to have more of a "Nixon in a pantsuit" opinion of her...but that ad strikes me as very effective. Her voice isn't annoying, as it can be, but warm and comforting. She is strikingly beautiful/handsome and calm...the queen ready for her coronation. I guess we'll see how that plays. I bet it helps.
Melvin - I agree. I have no intention of voting for Hillary, but I also think it's a nice ad. She looks great. But I hope Obama wins.
I agree with Melvin and Ava. I now also think that Moonves should have hired Hillary to be the next CBS anchor rather than Katie Couric.
It's a good spot. I don't know the advantage Obama is getting by going live compared to the downside risk. I'm sure he'll be able to pull it off, I just don't know that he needed to. I'm guessing his will be much more energetic than Hillary's, but that's part of their different styles.
I'm with the first couple of commenters. It's unfair, but it's like Gore with those earth tones. Every time she comes off as different, even if it's an improvement, it looks planned, calculated, and consultant-driven.

We are seeing the same thing that happened when Al Gore was running, now almost everyone is singing he praises when, when it really counted what all everyone could say is how woody he comes acrose. Same shit is happening about Hillary now even though she's the best of the lots.
Obamamaniacs and other Clinton detractors love to use the right wing am radio talking points to attack Clinton. She is calculated. Is it a bad thing to want to win to implement a plan to try and win? These detractors must think so. Shrill? Edwards is shrill in my book but nobody ever calls him that. Listen to Edwards on the stump. I think "shrill" is a sexist term. Similar to using the term cackles as opposed to the word laugh. Lacks authenticity? Hillary isn't but a stoner named Barry Obama who grew up with an aethiest mother and a father with Muslim roots, and now tranforms into a straight laced Christian named Barack Obama is? I don't get it.
The fact is Hillary Clinton is someone who wants to win, she is good at playing the game, and that scares some people. It scare the pants of the wingnuts.

It is a lovely ad.For all the millions of people who support Hillary we know how classy,and elegant she is and it's hard to hear the constant Hate Hillary campaign.She is a winner and will do very well in Iowa and NH.and she will be our First Woman President!!
Good ad. But as good as she is, Mr. Flatts, I just don't want to see another ruling family dynasty, and I sure don't want to give the opposing party a green light for 4-8 years of hyper-partisan attacks and political gridlock. I think the other Dem candidates (especially Obama) would enable a less combative environment in Washington.
Interesting how, as she says things like "I'll work my heart out for you" and the like, she is nodding her head "no". These subtle unconscious gestures are usually interpreted as disingenuousness. Perhaps that's part of wherefrom she gets her reputation as a phoney. At any rate, it does neutralize a lot of her soothing prose in the ad, doesn't it?
Perhaps she is shaking her head thinking of how others do not--work their hearts out for us. Using Bush as an example spending more time on vacation than any other president before him. Seems genuine to me, then again anyone seems genuiune--even Mitt after the past seven years.

No bars held, she is going to let loose all the vermon she can find. But what she won't understand is there will be people out there revealing what type of person she really is.
