Making Trouble, Michael Bloomberg?

17 Jan 2008 09:47 am

This sounds kind of big. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's office is making all sorts of noises about two major announcements: one on Friday in Austin, Texas, the other Saturday in Los Angeles.

A spokesman wouldn't say what the heck was happening.

But the guests provide a clue: in Austin, Bloomberg will be joined by ex-surgeon general Richard Carmona and Lance Armstrong. In California, he'll be joined by Pennsylvania Mayor Ed Rendell and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for a "joint infrastructure announcement."

Last I checked Ed Rendell was governor of his state. Although he used to be Philly's mayor ...

The announcements are going to be the endorsements from following staunch conservatives:

* Barbara Bush endorsing Bloomberg in Austin

and

* Britany Spears endorsing Bloomberg in LA

Bloomberg should make an announcement about acquiring charisma.

This doesn't seem to be a good time to announce his candidacy; there's a lot of excitement what with all the primaries right now. Unless it has to do with qualifying deadlines in various states... I just read a poll that had Bloomberg losing badly to just about everyone else, too.

yeah but he is unpredictable . my guess wwould be march for the announcement . he may pull a pre-emptive strike . either way .... he runs , he will win . and the 2 party monsters head will be crushed .
