(A dept. of corrections).

1. A headline yesterday substituted "hear" for "here" -- thanks to the senior Democratic official who pointed this out.

2. Yesterday, I wrote that John McCain finished a strong third in Iowa. Not true. He finished fourth to Fred Thompson.

3. Bill Clinton ranted about Nevada's delegate allocation process to a reporter in California, not Nevada.

But since it's John McCain, it was a 'strong' fourth right?

But since it's John McCain, it was a 'strong' fourth right?

Because he did not campaign heavily there and was thought dead 6 months ago, it was a "strong" fourth.

These sorts of statements remind me of Romney supporters who like to talk about delegates with no regard for the amount of time and money that had to go into earning them.

Simple math:

A candidate who can attract support without much campaigning or marketing = good.

A candidate who has trouble attracting support despite a great deal of campaigning and marketing = bad.
