But the author of the idea that Bill Clinton was the First Black President, Toni Morrison, has endorsed Barack Obama.

You hear that MSM? The first "black" president better make way for the first black president.

Jesse Jackson wanted to be the first black president, too, back in 1984 and '88. But I'm looking at Barak Obama, and I'm thinking, you got to be kidding me. Him being the first black president is the biggest fairy tale I ever heard. Everyone knows there already was a black president. People can't change that. Shame on you. Shame on you.

Everybody should read Salon's recent article about the origins of the statement. Toni Morrison was describing solely the way Clinton himself was presumed to be guilty of transgressions in the way black men are in our culture. It was not in any way an endorsement of his politics or his record.

Toni Morrison? Pfft. That's small potatoes compared to the HUGE celeb endorsement Hillary pulled down today:

Not the author of the idea by a long shot (as her "first black presdient" article makes clear). Just the first place most white folk heard about it.
