"Yes We Can"

!!OBAMA!!

Clinton...then Edwards...
93% in... BO: 55%....HRC:....27%.....JRE:....19%

HRC in Nashville: "Now, the eyes of the country turn to Tennessee and the other states that will be voting on Feb. 5 and of course to the state of Florida that will be voting on Tuesday. I want this election to be about the next generation..."

Obama in Columbia, SC:

"Those who doubted...tonight, the cynics who believe that what began in the snows of Iowa was just an illusion were told a different story by the good people of South Carolina..."

"After four great contests, in every corner of this country, we have the most votes, the most delegates, the most diverse coalition of Americans than we've seen in a long, long time..."

"The kind of change we seek will not come easy...partly because we have fierce competitors who are worthy of our respect and our admiration...we have to remember that this is a contest for the Democratic nomination ...there are real differences between the candidates..."

'Status quo...fighting back with the same old tactics that divide us....the kind of partisan that you're not even allowed to say that a Republican had an idea, even if it's one that you never agreed it."

"This is our chance..to end this once and for all."

"I did not travel around SC and see a white SC and a black SC. I saw SC. I saw crumbling schools and are stealing the future of black children and white children alike."

Caroline Kennedy endorses Obama...

It was about what you would expect. Jesse Jackson had 64% support here in 1988 as the only really viable black candidate to run so far. John Edwards is a native son and won last time.

I don't see any grand message in the state. The blacks went heavily for Obama since he made a point of stirring them up. Whites and Latinos will go heavily the other way in states yet to vote.

Obama set the stage. Live by the race card, die by the race card.

Here's one message: Barack vs. Bill in a one week showdown, and the former ended up +27. Now what's team Hillaryland gonna do with Bill? If they put him on the porch, then it's humiliating. If they let him freelance, then we'll get more gems like his "Jesse Jackson won in '88." Live by the big dog, die by the big dog is more like it.

Here's another message: Obama won 50% among whites under 30. Did he "stir them up", too? He held serve in the demos that he was perceived to be weakest in.

In this election 10 days is plenty of time for him to make up ground since there are still plenty o' undecideds and that his organization has demonstrated that they will bring new folks to vote. This win just boosted their efforts. It's not a done deal, but the longer this contest is strung out -- the more the electorate is going to get sick of the pettiness and psychodrama that has marred Hillary's campaign.

meanwhile, back to our regularly scheduled program: The Coronation of Hilary Rodham.

CLOSER TO THE MOUNTAINTOP

I've remained troubled, angered by the not-so-hidden patronizing attitude of the Clintons toward Senator Obama. At every debate, HRC's condescending tone, interruptions, and denigrating manner towards Senator Obama have, to me, been ofensive. Now HRC's plea-bargained partner, has added the comedic irony that it is Senator Obama, who is playing the race card. I'm honestly wondering what the impact would be should HRC with her "own voice" now exemplify her superior "readiness" and "experience" by referring to Senator Obama's "boyish appeal" or more candidly, simply refer to him as "boy".
I pray that the ancient, patronizing politics of the 60's will be set behind us. It's the voices of the young and, like Caroline Kennedy, young in Spirit that must lead us. There is an "urgency of now"

Something is happening with Barack's campaign that can't be explained. The HRC group is acting as though its no big deal but based on what the experts say Barack didn't have a chance to begin with but the end results say different. Talk and comments and 25 cents won't buy a cup of coffee. Time will tell.
