CNN's latest poll sampled 761 Democrats in Texas and gives Barack Obama a 50% to 46% lead over Hillary Clinton.... the margin of error is +/- 3.5%.

I smell smoke. Is someone's firewall burning?
I smell something, like someone's firewall burning....
She's toast. March 4 can't come soon enough.
And the slow death of the Clinton campaign enters its last throes. Watch it thrash wildly and unpredictably about in the next eight days as its gasps for its last breaths. And then celebrate like hell that it's dead.
But Texas doesn't count. No state with a caucus or with black voters or that Obama lived in or that hasn't gone for the Democrats in the last six elections counts.
I hope that bitch goes down hard.
Plagiarism-from yahoo answers Why is Hillary Clinton so ugly? She's had to endure years of living with Slick Willy that turned her ugly. Probably made her a lesbian too and now she is uglier cuz she is trying to suck up to be president herself. Just wait and see how ugly she gets when she loses! yikes it will be scary then!

Did anyone read Geraldine Ferraro's op-ed in the NYTimes today where she basically says that many of Obama's victories don't count because 1) caucuses include only a smidgen of eligible voters; 2) in many primaries where he won there are lots of "crossover" voters, not "true" Democrats. Superdelegates, like her, exist to "correct" (my word, but her allusion) these imbalances. Can you imagine if it were the other way around and Hillary had won all the caucuses? Then those who voted would be committed grass-roots activists to be commended for their political involvement. Doesn't the Democratic Party want to exploit any fluidity there is in the electorate? I suspect if the delegate count is 100 or less, then superdelegates like Ferraro will make these arguments at the convention. Of course, I hope it doesn't get to that, and that Obama has commanding victories next Tuesday. On another note, most people (unlike me, a news junkie who has become exceedingly repulsed by the Clintons) don't really care if it's Clinton or Obama, they just want Bush gone. That's what I hear over and over again in southeastern Michigan where I live. I try to remember that to put my angst over this in perspective.
We're seeing trick from the Clinton camp now that their leads have vanished. The Somalian garb photo, attack mailers, etc. They better give up before this gets serious. http://www.political-buzz.com/
I'm trying to not jinx it...but I'm still planning a celebration on March 4th!:) Probably won't be as much cheering as when the Giants won the Super Bowl, but almost, when we hear those fateful words - "MSNBC projects Barack Obama has won Texas, AND Ohio!"
choosing president by physical appearance are we? how many truly gorgeous 62 year old women do you know??? if we're gonna go by looks why not have paris hilton for pres. or george clooney or johnny deep or whoever you go for. you are a clown if you're focusing on physical appearance! should've voted for Dennis K's wife. she was the hottest.
Survey USA comes out tonight... They've been good this cycle.
USATODAY/Gallup has Obama up nationally by 12% 51-39%.
America is tired of the same old establishment candidates! The coal is being stoked! The fire is growing! The message of hope is spreading throughout the land! One man's vision for America shall soon come to pass! BEHOLD... THE COMET!
Go Barack !
My understanding of statistics isn't great, but is it accurate to describe this as a "slim lead"? I thought that the MoE basically indicates that there's a 95% chance that Obama has the support of 46.5-53.5% and that Hillary's range is 42.5-49.5%. Given that, aren't the 50-46 numbers statistically indistinguishable?
If Clinton does not graciously bow out after losing in Texas the DNC and all democrats who want to win in November must pressure her to do so. We don't want Clinton to be the Nader of '08!
Obama camp is just making a mountain out of a mole hill. If anything they posted the photo in an attempt to smear Clinton right before the 4th.
This country does not need anymore Clinton Pit Bull
If, and it is a huge IF. Hillary were elected pres. would she wear pantsuits to all the presidential balls. Just wondering.
Now the Clinton camp is sending a photo of Obama dressed in African garb visiting his fathers homeland in Kenya. His father left him when he was 2 years old. I think the Clinton camp is trying to evoke fear among voters but we are smarter than that. Clinton, please give it up.
First they play the race card in South Carolina. Now they are playing the religion card in Kenya -knowing good and well Obama is a Christian. These tacticts will only hurt Billary.
The Clintons are hypocritical about Obama's wearing of African cloth. They wore these clothes when they visited Africa during Monica's fiasco get-away. In Ghana Clinton and the wife were dressed in kente cloth and the islamic outfit on national stage with the then dictator J.J. Rawlings and the wife.

The March 4 primary is bringing the darkest and worst out of the Clintons. In order to win Texas they will say or do anything. It is so surreal to see them using every possible distraction and divisive tactic to destoy the political potential of Obama and the hopes of millions who believe that America can do better than going back to the past with the Clintons. This race will write the unauthorized biograghy of the Clintons.

"Obama camp is just making a mountain out of a mole hill. If anything they posted the photo in an attempt to smear Clinton right before the 4th." Exactly. The timing gives it away, totally.
All of you people are jackasses! Don't you remember what it was like when we ran the White House? Ungrateful sons of bitches! Sincerely yours,
I am an Obama supporter - but let's stop calling Hillary Clinton names and sexist epithets. It is demeaning to the process, to women everywhere and to her. I support Obama because he is the best candidate - not because I hate Hillary Clinton or because of some narrow-minded view of women in general.
Hear hear, Nate. Fortunately, I think the vast majority of posters understand that such comments are by and large the work of disturbed minds, and are not representative of any larger groups.
What on earth is wrong with you people? Espcially you, Eduardo Esqueda. Nothing more obnoxious than a member of one minority group insulting the members of another. Be for Obama if you like, but stop the Hillary-bashing. And by the way, who cares is she really were a lesbian?
Jeeze,
Hillary Clinton is not trustworthy and bad for the US. Barack Obama is integer and good for the world.

Hey, Rodney, could you run that by me a few more times? It's all over for the Clintons. I find it amusing that while Obama's supporters are supposedly the Kool-Aid drinkers, this comment board is full of Hillary supporters insisting that Obama released the photo himself (conspiracy!) and that Obama supporters are on a sinister "witch hunt" (conspiracy!). Dude, there isn't any witch hunt or conspiracy, and Hillary's collapse isn't about race or gender (except to the extent that HRC has been harmed by her own racist innuendoes). It's pretty simple: one candidate is appealing, and the other is divisive, negative, and dishonest. One candidate supported the war in Iraq, and the other did not. One candidate is running way ahead of McCain in head-to-head polls, and the other is running behind him. And one candidate is going to win the Democratic nomination, and the other is not. (I won't spoil the suspense and tell you which is which.)
Hillary needs to throw one more thing.
Do you hear yourselves? do you really have so much hatred against a candidate who you claim to be negative? This is double talk my friends, and why do men want to constantly live in a negative environments and create problems when all we need is a woman to run this country and turn everything around. Why are men so difficult? This is why we have so many problems because of the stupidity and ego of the male gender. Just let go and let the true leaders heal this world.
I'm sure you know this picture of Obama is being used to hurt Obama and used to bring out the bigots !!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/pakpositive/12727799/

Obama has nothing concrete to say about what he will do for this country. Hillary Clinton has the smarts, the determination, and the passion to make our country better for all citizens.

This is the first time that I am embarassed to be a woman. Hillary Clinton's desperate attacks on Obama only magnify every sterotype type about women that exist. She is acting hysterical ( did you see her "calling down heaven" in her parody of Obama ) she is up one moment and down another, her tactics are awful. This is not a person that I want making decisions for my country. The Clinton team, with Bill and Hillary, are so used to Clintonstyle tactics that they failed to see what the country would think of them when they lied, smeared and attacked. Hopefully the public are smarter than the Clinton's give them credit for. Hillary sure lost this 62 year old woman's vote, I cringe at being associated with her image . ComeOn Obama.
For all the stupid tricks, like the Africa photo, the most amusing effort of all is for Hillary to now present herself as an Edwards-style populist. She (and Bill) have spend the last two decades trying to convince everyone that they were new Democrats, pro-trade, pro-business, moderate. They've been in bed with lobbyists and large corporate donors. Now that she is campaigning in Ohio she wants to reinvent herself as a left-wing populist, bashing big corporations and free trade? Isn't it a little late for that? And she thinks people will buy, for example, that she is a long-standing opponent of NAFTA and is going to stand up to all those companies moving their jobs overseas?
QUESTION: "If Obama had lost as many races as Hillary would the media be calling for him to get out of the race? Would they talk about him like Huckabee? If so, should Hillary do the honorable thing instead of showing the world a very unattractive side of her?" YOUR COMMENTS.
Hillary Clinton is probably the best candidate for president, most people voting for Obama don't even have a clue as to what or where he stands on the issues. I have read both of their websites and if it's true that Obama is gonna win then, we are headed for another 4 years of disappointment. People please visit their websites. Educate yourselves. I'm disgusted with people who have no idea when asked why their voting for Obama or for Clinton.
The darling of the media, Hillary Clinton is melting down. In her most desperate hour we are now seeing the real person... desperate, blatantly making fun of an opponent -- not his actions, showing sarcasm toward an important message of unity, hope, and change that she used to try and echo, using her husband to guilt voters of Texas and Ohio, willing to attack religions, clothing, and even "American-ness." It's sickening. She is showing all of the underhanded and divisive attributes that have broken our political system... and because of this, I started doing alot of research on her... She did support NAFTA being signed into law by her husband (either as her husband's "success" or by her recent "ambivalence"), she does want to mandate universal healthcare (penalizing those who cannot or will not buy in), and her "experience" is little more than that of Obama (and weren't some of our greatest presidents also the least experience????). Also, it's extremely easy to find docs on Youtube that show the very real possibility of her having broken laws. Hillary has nothing left to use against Obama... so now she has to smear him. She has to descend into the mud and try to drag him under. It's sad. Before all of this I respected Bill and Hillary Clinton. Now that I see these actions... and have since done alot of homework on them... They deceived me. Well, I may have been duped once, but not again... not again.
BOY! what is this site for, Hilary bashing! If Obama gets in I don't want to hear any crying out of the ignorant people who voted for a unqualified person. Hillary Clinton is brilliant and I think there is alot of men who would be intimidated by her in the white house and that is really sorry.. Because with her in the White House and Bill backing her we could get this country back where it was when Bill Clinton was in office... Two great minds for the price of one. But some of these men won't vote for her just because she is a women. Now who is the ignorant ones! Shame on You...

As we watch the news channels we see that our choices are limited. But there is a man running for the highest office in the world that can get things done. Sen. Barack Obama is that man. We have to realize that there comes a time when true leadership is required. Someone that can make you believe in and have faith that they will not cheat you or mislead you. Not like those that bring years of garbage to the table while they play politics and claim to have your best interests at heart. We need a leader that will guide us and understand that all is not as it seems. Someone that has been there on the streets not holed up in the Statehouse or White House. Not claiming to be the answer to all our problems by way of being too much involved in their own personal gain. We need someone that has lived life in the way it was intended no secrets nothing in the closet to find. Someone that is liked by both Republicans and Democrats. This is a man that doesn´t use fear to sway your opinion as he has seen and watched and the main thing has listened to what Americans gripe about.
Sen. Obama brings change with him he doesn´t claim it he is it. He allows us to believe again in the promises we were taught in school. You Can, We can and we will are all about us and for us. Sounds simple and it is as by changing the faces alone brings change. It is our time to take this government back from those that only think about themselves or their corporate sponsors. This is our time, this is our place, this is our country and we need Sen. Obama to join our struggle. Time is running out as we again are being fooled by those that only seek power and influence. Our nation is going towards bankruptcy in morals and financially we are not headed in the right direction. It is time for change it is time for OBAMA.
Hilary's tactics! What about the articles Obama is sending out on Hilary! Obama can do whatever he wants and Nobody says a word! Well I will speak for Hilary.. You go Girl! If Obama wants to bad mouth you then it is time he got back a little bit of what he is giving out!!

To Saleanna. Well said. I feel very sorry for those who are so infatuated with Obama. The let down will be fast and furious. Unfortunately, those of us who understand what is at risk will too pay the price. I am embarrassed and saddened at the lopsided media reporting. All for ratings sake at our expense. Shame on them and YES SHAME ON OBAMA FOR BEING THE PHONY THAT HE IS. GO AHEAD YOU IDIOTS AND VOTE FOR HIM. IF YOU THINK THERE IS A LACK OF PATRIOTISM NOW, WAIT UNTIL OBAMA AND MICHELLE START SPREADING THEIR WORDS. I AM SO DISGUSTED!!!
Shame on you Saleanna!!!!!!
Obama's mailings are totally accurate. He will stop the stupid over-costly Iraq war to reduce health insurance costs. Hillary won't stop the war, that's why she says she'll "garner into people's wages" to punish those that already can't afford health care. Obama exposed her for what she is, and made sure the common people didn't fall into her trap. Well done, Barack.

Yes, Mrs Clinton has some records, more than Obama : She supported a failed health care from her husband, she approved the war, she supported Musharraf, yes she has some record i confess! When she had to make crucial decisions and endorsments sorry but she failed!!!
She has benn in the game for 35 years, and sorry but for 35 years, her records sucks!! The more important issues she failed!!
Hmm.... wonder why she lost to Barack so badly in the Illinois primary, the state where she was BORN? Barack has done so much more good to the people than she has.
I think Hilary is desperate. Until now my vote was for her. But after I heard her screaming on TV “ Shame on you obama” and showing a different face than the Texas debate. I will not vote for her. I WILL BE VOTING FOR OBAMA IN OHIO.
People are seeing through her smoke screen, her "universal" health care, which works as a mandate that penalizes those who already cannot pay for it. How corporate can she get? She makes me so angry. Barack you go!
I am not infatuated with Obama. As many, I was a Clinton supporter. I thought she was our best hope. I thought "experience" and a former president by her side would mean added strength and the ability to accomplish difficult tasks... But Hillary Clinton stripped my support of her campaign. Her words and actions became mean-spirited, childish, and even deceptive. In the end I looked at these facts: 1) Hillary did praise NAFTA in her book as her husband's success. If she has had such a change of heart on NAFTA, she has never made that clear -- until it became important in Ohio and Texas. In fact, her own people saw she has been "ambivalent" toward NAFTA. Is praise in her book and recent ambivalence toward NAFTA change? 2) Has the Obama campaign ever attacked Hillary's "American-ness?" No. I felt shame as a former Clinto supporter hearing Obama say that everything he is has come from this great nation. I felt shame again when this again came up through a ridiculous photograph of Obama without his hand on his heart... and again with the Somali costume. If we're to believe every picture out of context then there are a million of Hillary in every kind of situation... some beside unsavory characters... even criminals. 3) Hillary should have reined in her husband long ago. He seemed to think that he could act like a child because this time he wasn't running... but he forgot that he can tarnish his own legacy. For me he did just that... and Hillary's inaction until very recently was the same as condoning it. For as long as she could, Hillary let him sling mud while staying clean herself. 3) Hillary touts her experience as her main asset, but as this campaign has devolved into the mean-spirited, mud-slinging, mess that it is now, I have seen that this very experience is the problem. She embodies the problems that come with too long in Washington. She has become the problem -- unable to move for good unless it is severely political. So, I was driven from her support. How could I support someone I no longer respected? How could I respect someone I saw as experienced but devisive and deceptive? In the end, I had to go with someone I trusted... and I trust both Obama and Edwards. Seeing that Edwards is no longer in the race, Obama has my full support. And why exactly do I like him now? 1) His passion for the United States of America and its promise for every citizen. His wish to lift up those most disenfranchised. 2) His "inexperience" in Washington means he has not been corrupted by the cancer that is rampant in our political power system. 3) His promise of transparency of government. His belief that government is for and from the people so should be visible and answerable to those people. 4) His international view of strength first through diplomacy. 5) Lastly, he has shown great composure and poise. He has never attacked Clinton on anything but issues... and he has never shown himself to be mean-spirited or childish. That is a leader.
Saleanna, aren't you up kind of late? I thought the taco mobile you drive had to be out at 6:00 am to serve the illegal immigrant crowd downtown?
Lets bet ? Hillary is going to shed tears tonite during the Debate, to seek attentation and capture votes ? Any takers ?
Perhaps a better metaphor for Clintons than toast is vapor. We may have felt good during the Clinton period, but substance in the promises has since evaporated. Surely, Bush barbequed the surplus, but where are the substance and lasting benefits from the Clinton era? Didn’t improve the environment, didn’t produce a petro fuel substitute, didn’t deliver on college education support for my child, broke the State Department, and health care vaporized. So, when Hillary ridicules Obama for speeches that give us hope, it all seems like hot air to me.
I continue to be mystified as to why Hillary, or any of her supporters, continue to attempt to use the argument that people should vote for her because she has more "experience." Let's break down the total amount of experience that Clinton and Obama have in elected government. Hillary has a total of 8 years of service. 8 years in the US Senate. Barack has a total of 12 years of service. 4 years in the US Senate and 8 years in the Illinois Senate. Hmmmmm, and where is this massive experience gap that Hillary is trying to claim? Oh yes, that's right, I imagine that she (and her supporters) would have you believe that her 8 years as first lady should count too. Except... "first lady" is a completely token position with no substance. Unless... you buy into her argument that she was in essence a covert "co-president" with Bill for those 8 years. But then, using that assumption, she then would attempt to get you to believe that she was only "co-president" regarding the good parts of the Bill Clinton presidency and she had nothing to do with the bad parts (e.g. NAFTA). The most vital experience I see that she has is 16 years and counting as the lightning rod of the Republican Party. She would be a quintessential poster child for a "Get out the vote" campaign for Republicans. If she's the nominee, Republicans, Conservatives, Independents, Moderates, Reagan Democrats, etc would all be coming out of the woodwork to vote for McCain to keep her out. Barack has more electability in his pinky finger than Hillary could ever hope to garner.

I really like Barack Obama and l want him desperately to be our president. He will be one of the greatest leaders ever of the world. God please answer my prayers. Amen. Barack '08
Clinton is behaving like a kids.
For all of you saying Obama doesn't stand for anything then I guess Clinton doesn't either. Both of them are good democrats and have similiar ideas. So somehow saying he is all talk is just bizarre.
It's gonna be Obama/Clinton as the Democratic ticket. The campaign slogan will be "3 for 1." Can't lose.
YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-) If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience. You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history. You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people. You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE! You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history. You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since. You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history. You Might Be An Idiot! If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton.. Best regards jacksmith...
Isn't this great?!! We have 2 brilliant candidates. I would be happy to vote for either. Last year, I was sure the Hillary would be our nominee. However, now I am honored to see Obama winning. This campaign has restored my faith in Americans. It shows that we are watching. It also shows that we have the ability to look past race and gender and choose the best person for the job. Obama has run the best campaign. He as the best fundraising, best personal presentation, best ground game, best get-out-the-vote and the most positive message. He has inspired the largest rallies and voter turnout in decades and this just the primary. I am a 46 year old African American male and I only registered to vote, I'm ashamed to say, in 2004 to vote against GWB, the worst president of my life time. He hasn't represented the best nor the brightest our country has to offer. Barak represents the best and the brightest. I'm pretty smart, I own my own technology company and have 3 children in college. My wife and I work together in our business and she is brighter than I am. I want to look up to my President again. I want to see someone in office that's brighter than me; someone that can figure out the tough problems we face. I think Barak is the man. Screw experience. I want his intellect and inspiration. The rest he can get from advisors like Bill Clinton did. By the way I looked up to Bill as one of our best and brightest. I support Obama but to others I say, "Keep watching" and continue to form your opinion. That's what's important. Through this process we will end of with the best we as a country have to offer.
Go Obama your our man, if anyone can change this country you sure can. Your an intelligent man and I know you can solve any problem that arrises. We do not need a child in the White House that cries every time a tough situation arises. Boo Hoo's don't solve any thing. You are a very courageous man who has taken a lot of heat from a child that isn't getting her own way. Pretty soon we will all be putting her outside so she can really cry. Where does she get that the Oval office chair has her name on it? Boy she must really be dreaming. When this is all over, she can kick Bill out, for the support he never put forth that did any good. Hilary can go back to her Lesbian lover, and Bill can go back to his old tricks. She said when it's over if she loses she will be fine with her family and friends. Believe you me if I was a friend I would not want to come within 100 feet of her. She doesn't let things down easy, and some one may end up in the hospital. She always was a bitch, and always will be. The nice side she shows people is just a front she puts on. Not her true colors.

IF SOMEONE SAY THE WORD EXPERIENCE AGAIN, I'M GOING TO SCREAM. HOW CAN SOMEONE WITH 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE BY VOTING FOR THE WAR. AND THEN TURN AROUND & ADMIT IT WAS A MISTAKE. ALSO ON NAFTA, SHE SUPPORTED NAFTA WHEN IT WORKED, BUT WHEN IT FAILED PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH, DICK CHENEY, & DONALD RUMSFELD HAD EXPRIENCE, & LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE TAKEN THIS COUNTRY INTO (WAR). ONE OF THE GREAT HISTORIC STRATEGIC BLUNDERS OF U.S. FOREIGN POLICY. AND I THINK WERE PAYING THE COST. THE COST ARE STAGGERING LIVES & MONEY. IF WE WANT TO REBUILD THIS COUNTRY WE BETTER THINK LONG & HARD HOW TO END THIS WAR. AND BARRACK CAN DO THAT.
I find Hillary Clinton's latest remarks on the verge of racist. Her surrogates have gone racist, including Black on Black racisism, how ugly can this get?

I think Hillary needs a magic wand to make this all go away.
