b-b-but hillary raised $3 million today! ...which obama doubled. but hey, that'll pay off a decent chunk of last month's loan. oh ya, who's the frontrunner again?
Ha. What exactly is this change we can believe in again? It's been over a year and I'm still not clear. The Obama campaign is like a $30 mil/month consultant--a lot of nice, albeit completely useless, talk, with no real results to be accountable for.
Yeah, well, I'm a woman and a fervent Obama supporter and even I find this comment mean-spirited. Just play it straight-up -- reaching doesn't work.
CLINTON ANNOUNCES HUGE FUNDRAISING NUMBERS BREAKING..... IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS... Clinton had a MASSIVE day of online fundraising blowing past the $3 million dollar - 3 day goal. THOUSANDS of NEW donors flooding in. Clinton keeping pace with Obama and MoveOn. Hillary's loan to be paid back by supporter in 48 hours after Super Tuesday. below is an unverified excerpt of Clinton's email... ..
developing... ... DONATE to HILLARY $6 million in 72 hours!
"Clinton keeping pace with Obama and MoveOn." "So we're doubling it to $6 million in 72 hours because of your amazing response.” Only one of these two statements can hold true.
"$6 million in 72 hours!" LOL. Even if this were true, she's been utterly owned tonight.
Um, it's 12:00 right now and Obama's already over $6 million. Hillary makes this big stunt about raising $3 million and still Obama kicks her can by raising $6 million. Can anyone else say, "BLOWOUT"? You messed with the Obamanation, Hillary, and you just got creamed.
Lisa wrote: "Hillary's loan to be paid back by supporters in 48 hours after Super Tuesday." I don't get it. If the loan is being paid back to Hillary, then her campaign isn't ahead one nickel. She puts $5 million in, she gets $5 million back. What's so great about that? The contributions flowing to Obama aren't going to pay back any loans, they are being used to advance his campaign.
Lisa - I hope you have enough sense to follow the money. Let's see Wolfson hand Hillary a check for $5Million - that I would believe. The money she's raised now is going to help keep her afloat because no one will extend any more credit to her. It's not pay off her debts to herself. Her staff is still not being paid this month. She may have to lend herself more $$ before it's over.
I find it interesting that she had to lend herself the money (and put staffers on a pay leave) at all. I mean, what is wrong with her supporters? They will vote for her, but not open their hearts and paychecks, apparently. Not a good sign. Also, it suggests that her support is limited to fewer, maybe wealthier supporters, who get maxed out, and CAN'T give more, whereas Obama has many, many smaller supporters who can (and WILL) keep on giving. Grassroots support won't be beat!
"a lot of nice, albeit completely useless, talk, with no real results to be accountable for." How is this not descriptive of Clinton, too? I haven't seen any "real results" from Hil, either.
zaleriana, you didn't watch any of the debates, did you?
C,mon! If Hill runs out of dough, Bill can
