Meanwhile...

At a stop in Iowa in December, Bill Clinton raised the issue of funding his wife's campaign. He told a crowd, "They say you couldn't stop me from spending all the money I've saved over the last five years if I wanted to, even though it would clearly violate the spirit of campaign-finance reform." (from NY Post, 2/7/08)

This is where we're trying to speak up! Small donors all.

And notice this is not out of sympathy for poor Barack for not winning the big states but out of genuine support for his efforts. We're impressed he evened his losses in CA, NY and MA with HUGE victories in Middle America. That shows competence and confidence. That's what we reward in Barack Obama. His experience running this campaign - it's efficiency, competence, discipline, message savviness, and poise - has proven his ability to run the White House.

$7.5 million as of now.
