Tina Fey For HRC

From Saturday Night Live this weekend (and sure to be removed by YouTube in a hurry).

In truth, this did strike me as a campaign commercial for Clinton....

The capital of Vermont, Montpelier, will be voting for Obama.

Just sayin...

even more interesting was her avoidance if Huckabee during the closing credits ...

I say take this with a grain of salt; this is comedy, not political activism.

Tina Fey also wrote and performed this exchange on her show, 30 Rock (Fey plays Liz Lemon):

Liz (Tina Fey): What are you going to do if they ask you about 08?
Jenna: Well, of course I want Hillary to be the first woman president.
Liz: Ugghh, no. Obama, you support Barack Obama. Remember, you liked those pictures of him at the beach?

"bitches get stuff done!"

... where'd she ever get that "unelectable" tag, anyway?

Well to be fair, the jokes don't seem to make the audience laugh very much.

might be worth mentioning Marc, that SNL didnt always think Hillary was getting screwed by the media.

here they are in late 2007 basically joking that Hillary had this thing sown up, as per NBC's Brian Williams.

there were a couple of lines in this bit where the laughs died down as people realized the comedy bit was veering toward being a serious endorsement.

i love tina fey--she's brilliantly funny and 30 Rock is a must-watch for me, but if she seriously thinks she gave a valid pro-HRC argument, she has her head up her patootie.

The media is totally against Hillary!

Except for all those times where they come right out and say that Hillary should be president. Like here.

Its hard out there for a middle class raised, white, ex Goldwater girl, Wellesley graduate, who went to Yale and married a Governor who then became president, and raised $150 million dollars by using a Democratic network created in 1992, who's husband's former employees work on CNN and are a part of the political punditry who always seem to day that she wins every debate by not losing.. Yeah I agree the deck was stacked against her..

She's a comedian. I'm pretty sure her entire goal was to simply do a satirical comedy bit.

Need I remind you that Chris Rock basically endorsed Obama in his appearance on SNL shortly after Obama launched his candidacy? And it wasn't during Weekend Update, it was in the opening and was not even peppered with any humor, but a plea and then an assertion that BHO would be the next president.

Obama has a video out with every B-list celebrity and their uncle endorsing him. Not even to mention Oprah Winfrey.

Tina Fey's skit was funny and also true, don't be bitter. You all know you would have loved it if the endorsement was for Obama.
