I wish reporters would stop calling him "Rev." He has never been ordained by any church. But, he never corrects anyone about it. Other pubs (like the NYT) routinely violate their own style manual by calling him "Dr." Dobson. He has a PhD in educational psychology, not a medical degree of any kind. He is neither a physician, a psychiatrist, nor a clergyman, but he loves it when he is given those titles.
