35 years ago today, John McCain was released from his more than five of year of captivity in Vietnam. His campaign has produced a web video to honor the anniversary.

Maybe it's just me but I'm starting to think that campaign related web videos should have to hit a certain number of organic views before they getting additional "air time" elsewhere.
I'm a professional Dem., and will quickly acknowledge it's a very good video in terms of humanizing McCain. Esp. his ability to make the Marine joke when brought into captivity -- although I think the filmmakers buried it and many viewers will miss that display of McCain's humor.
He was released because the US was brave enough to admit a mistake and pull out of Vietnam, right? This is really a celebration of a withdrawal.
I am a lifelong Dem who will vote for McCain over Obama in a second. If Sen Clinton doesnt get the nomination you can say goodbye to the Dem base, hello another generation of Reagan Dems, McCain Dems.
There is little doubt this man is a hero. There are many people in this race but McCain we can all agree is the only great, legendary man running.
What makes him so legendary? He seems a little dull to me. Straight talk this, straight talk that, he sounds kind of buffoonish, really. He sure can't answer an economic question without namedropping.
I wasn't that concerned about McCain's age when his race began but the more he counters the age argument, the more I'm aware of how old he really is. This video, though well put together and highlighting his amazing heroic background, also reminds me just how long ago that was and how old he really is. ginaswo
