Remember, the 16 to 15 pledged delegate split that was projected out of January's Iowa caucuses was bound to change, and is has: out of the county conventions, the Obama campaign now predicts that it will net at least five pledged delegates out of Iowa, perhaps as many as seven. Sen. Hillary Clinton netted nine out of Ohio. The math, once again, works to Obama's advantage.

Let's not forget how many other state conventions are going to be held in the coming months to pick their delegates to the national convention. Obama's won practically all of them, but padding their lead only makes that hill more the steeper and difficult to climb for the Clinton camp. As Madame Speaker said, the delegates pick the nominee.
Math works to OBammBamm advantage.... Isn't that interesting? But thuggery works to Hillbilly advantage. Look at the big Hillbilly donors in Michigan and Florida that is demanding their political contributions back unless the vote as it stands counted. Next, they will be demanding their contributions back in total if OBammBamm wins the nomination. After all, then Hillbilly cannot deliver on all the promises they made to them. Isn't it terrible?
Gee I'm surprised you're still covering Iowa; I thought the only states that matter are the ones that Senator Clinton wins.
The Math maybe working in Obama's favor, but he will NEVER, NEVER WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION BECAUSE Obama will not get away with HIS 20 YEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH A RACIST, ANTI-AMERICAN PASTOR. SO, ENJOY NOW while you can.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Charmedcitypolitico, This is probably a one time thing .The reason why you have this sort of volatility is because the non-Hillary-Obama vote total was about 1/3 of all votes cast. Most of the movement today was Biden, Richardson, and Edwards backers moving more towards Obama than Hillary. Since this vote was close to zero in every caucus post-Iowa it is unlikely that there will be any significant change in delegate totals (although there were some reports that Clinton backers who were designated for today's event didn't show).
An Update: In fact, Obama did gain 7 delegates, Clinton gained 1, and Edwards dropped a few. From First Read: From NBC's Chuck Todd Here's the updated delegate total, counting these new Iowa allocations: Pledged Count: Obama leads 1,407-1,252
Marc, You better stop it with your Obama-friendly, Hillary-hating posts or the Hillary commenters will start a strike of your blog.
I really think we've seen the last speedbumps cleared by Barack Obama these last few days. The issues of Race, Favoritism, his Pastor, and Rezko are now all more fleshed out... and he's getting some negative press, but all the while, expanding his lead and continuing his path to the nomination. In two weeks, these last few days will look like a very powerful booster shot against the coming GOP Onslaught and alot less like troubled times to Camp Obama. With 6 weeks to go until voting in Pennsylvania, it honestly couldn't have been timed any better.
Where's idiotic? but while we wait for him to show up, allow me to say.
http://www.americablog.com/2008/03/obama-answers-rezko-questions-in.html Obama met with the Chicago Tribune staff, answered every question in great detail and to their satisfaction.
So Obama's increasing his pledged delegate lead, is narrowing the superdelegate gap even more, still handily leads in the popular vote, and has won more states. And Hillary still thinks she can win this. That level of crazy is absolutely certifiable.
They must be about ready to pull their hair out and scream over in Hillaryland. They hammered Obama with photos of him in African garb, they got extremely generous media coverage after the March 4 primaries, they found a 5-year old videotape of his Pastor spouting off, and what happens? He looks the camera straight in the eye, tells the truth, and ends up with yet more pledged delegates and superdelegates. I am really liking this guy...
Zeppo: Did you hear the rumor that Hillbilly is about to defect to the Republican party as VP candidate to McCain with all her supporters and fund raisers? That would leave OBammBamm high and dry.
News like this from Iowa makes it easier for the superdelegates to pull the trigger and put HRC out of her misery. The numbers are getting to the point where the superdelegates have to consider whether Hillary's slim chances of winning are worth putting the Party through the meat grinder for another three months. I'm betting that the trickle of delegates going into the Obama column is gonna be a flood before the end of the month.
"Obama campaign now predicts that it will net at least five pledged delegates out of Iowa, perhaps as many as seven." That's what I like. No matter the demographic, unless they're under a complete news blackout, I believe the good people of the state of Pennsylvania will take the next few weeks to think long and hard about Mrs. Clinton:http://theseedsof9-11.com
vinnie's cousin has got it right; supers will flood to Obama before PA. Plus: it's worth pointing out that Iowa democrats seemed unfazed by news of Obama's nutty preacher, and Iowa democrats are fairly wise on such things (given the preacherites in their midst). Obamaniacs should relax...preacher stuff is yesterday's news.
Obama is so like Reagan. Nothing sticks to him. The guy is like Teflon.
Marc, You've stated that Parsley was McCain's spiritual advisor. That's a lie: "McCain met Parsley for the first time three weeks ago, when the pastor served as an introductory speaker at a February 26 rally in Cincinnati." http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/03/15/mccain-camp-disputes-wright-parsley-comparison/ Will you correct yourself? Thanks.
Barack Obama says both Wright and Ferraro’s politics were shaped by the 1960s – as were the Clintons, I might add. No one except Barack Obama will drag the Democratic leadership kicking and screaming into the 21st Century: http://theseedsof9-11.com
Kelly: Teflon is out of style. Now it is anodized Aluminum or Porcelain. Mind you, I see OBammBamm more like a tinned copper pan. Old fashioned, works like a charm, and timeless.
The Truth: Never say NEVER. From the look of things, you may be eating your own words come November.
Marc, I'd love to hear what they have to say if you hear anything.
Politico's Ben Smith is saying it's +9 for Obama. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0308/Obamas_gains.html
Now, one thing I'm pretty certain of is that you should ignore anything said by someone who styles himself as "The Truth." Can you even imagine the gross vanity, presumption, and self-regard packed into the narrow constraints of that wee, sad, little mind? It's like an elephant packed in a valise. Improbable and unstable in the extreme.
it is about time for americans to tell hillary to quit.enough is enough,i am writing from africa,my whole continent is united with obama, this lady with all due respect is willing to do any thing to be nominated.its not gonna happen, cause it seems she has her own agenda.

The good ship Clinton drifts a little closer to the rocks... Thank you, Iowa!
