Rahm's The Only One

26 Mar 2008 05:36 pm

Now, Rep. Rahm Emanuel is the only Illinois superdelegate who hasn't taken sides.

Rep. Dan Lipinski, who is from the state's whitest and most conservative Dem district, has endorsed Obama.

Most conservative district? Are you smoking something? It is like +8 dem performing. Compare it to, say, Bean's. And that's not even counting republicans, which your sentence construction seems to.

I'll rise to Ambers' defense!!! I'm sure he meant to say the whitest, most conservative district in Chicago. In fact, Lipinski's district is pretty much Dem in name only. They redrew the district while I lived on the South Side. Danny Davis was my long-time rep. When Lipinski's dad became my rep, thanks to redistricting, I was horrified.

For five years, I've been in Rahm's district. I seriously doubt he'll endorse. In fact, I doubt we'll ever know his pick. Should Rahm ever endorse, it will probably mean one of two things - war or HRC's well-and-truly cooked. If Rahm sided with Obama, Carville would have to come up with a bigger adjective than Judas. If Richardson owes much of his political career to the Clintons, Rahm owes them his political life. Someone once wrote that he'd simply hide under his desk until the convention's over.

Judy - I believe it was Rahm himself who said he'd be hiding under his desk. A no-win situation for him (and you are very right about Carville). He won't be endorsing.

Rahm Emanuel has not endorsed Hillary Clinton? Does James Carville have an opinion on this? Do we have another Judas in our midst? In all seriousness, it is fascinating to note all the former Clinton White House employees and appointees who have not enodrsed Hillary. Many of those who know her best are speaking volumes with their "impartiality." Al Gore, Donna Brazile, Rahm Emanuel...

I read this at The Field a field days ago (in the comments of on of the entries.

Apparently this was announced during the week of March 10th.

It's not DINO if it voted Kerry over Bush by 10 points or whatever. Unless Marc is qualifying Dem districts to only be districts of +8 or more DPI, it doesn't make any sense.

Rahm "Twinkle Toes" Emanuel is one tough
dude and can't be pushed around. He'll
declare when Hillary tells him to, and not a moment before.

Rahm"Tiny Dancer"Emanuel is the toughest
dog in the pack.....grrrrrr.
