The Superdelegate Quandary

31 Mar 2008 02:13 pm

In most cases, undecided superdelegates are trying to figure out which presidential candidate is best for them in the context of their unique political situation, their district, their down-ballot candidates. The CW is that outside of a few places in the Northeast, Hillary Clinton would weigh down the ticket: that she's too polarizing, that she has too much of a history, that Republican candidates would energize their base by running against her.

There is truth in this, and many superdelegates have pledged their support to Obama for precisely this reason.

But there's another side to the argument.

In this Sunday's New York Times magazine, here's what NRCC chairman Rep. Tom Cole had to say about which candidate he'd prefer his candidates to run against:

"I happen to think Hillary Clinton is a stronger candidate in the end" .... "You couldn’t raise money against Obama right away like you could with Clinton, that’s true, and so maybe by the time you were able to raise money it wouldn’t matter. But he’s ideologically well to the left of Hillary Clinton, for all his rhetorical gifts, and I also think he’s got a national-security deficit. I think she’s a plausible commander in chief, and I don’t think he is. It may not matter. But those two areas are where we would fight the election, and with McCain, I think we contrast with him very well.”

Against Obama, John McCain and the Republicans are going to front national security. They'll run on "who'll keep your safer" -- they'll try to force members in swing congressional districts to own -- or disown -- Obama. There is much more a messaging function in having Obama as the candidate, where Clinton would clearly provide the energizing function.

To this Democrats will respond: the Rove-style national security attacks against Democrats don't work. 2006 proved that.

But there are many Democrats who fear that they _do_ work, which is one reason why Democrats on Capitol Hill are powerless to end the war as rapidly as possible.

Obama provides a clean contrast with McCain on the war, and to the extent that Americans are ready to choose a "side" on Iraq, Obama has the upper hand. But Iraq has not been his trump card in the primary -- indeed, at least about half of Democrats do not believe that Clinton's 2002 vote disqualifies her.

Democrats may be tempted to conflate John McCain's national security arguments with the Bush-Republican national security arguments. Superficially, they sound alike. But McCain has much more standing to make them -- registered voters say this, not me, as does McCain's biography and life.

Obama supporters bristle at the notion that Obama will become as polarizing to Republicans as Clinton is right now. We will see. The net effect of the competitive Democratic Primary may well be that Obama becomes less of a unifying figure and more of a, well, Democrat.

He is certainly capable of enraging critical parts of the Republican coalition, like pro-lifers, who can now raise money off an off-handed comment from this weekend. Speaking about abortion, Obama said he would not want his daughters "punished with a baby." Then he said he would not want his daughters "punished with an STD." (Read the Brody File for the full context).

The radical base would never vote for either of them anyway.

This gives a good view of where the Republicans are. Cole is using the briar patch gambit. He wants Clinton to be the candidate.

Clinton is now seriously flawed due to the lies about Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Nafta, S-Chip and FMLA. The Republicans will contrast this to McCain's straight shooter image.

It is possible Clinton could beat McCain, it is almost guaranteed that Obama would. And the down ticket candidates would be more benefitted by an Obama candidacy than a Clinton one.

"Clinton is now seriously flawed due to the lies about Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Nafta, S-Chip and FMLA.

Posted by john m"

john m = product of the "liberal media"

Obama wasn't talking about abortion with that "punished with a baby" line, he was talking about abstinence-only education (I know you tend not to read comments, but that should probably be fixes in this post)

Ironically, you'd think the whole "punished with a baby" line would actually play well with anti-abortion folks; in context, he's basically arguing "I want my kids to know about condoms in case they make a mistake and have sex. I don't want them to not know about condoms and then have to have a baby."

"Punished with a baby" is obviously poor phrasing, but I'm not sure why implying that teenage sex is a "mistake" and not even conceding abortion to be an option (he doesn't say anything about having to "make a difficult choice" or anything) would be objectionable to anyone, certainly not anti-abortion groups.

Tom Cole? The same Tom Cole that did such a bang up job holding on to Denny Hastert's seat against Obama's coattails?

So, it is very likely that Obama will select a VP with more national security credentials thus, closing the gap between him and McCain. Americans now know something about the realities of "fighting terrorism" and that the Bush/McCain/Clinton approach has not worked. Obama has emphasized that he is not against fighting wars but is against fighting dumb wars. Most people will agree with that.

The problem with this argument is THE ECONOMY. Cole essential rests his case with foreign policy. Republicans may go front and center with national security and it will certainly be very important, but the economy and health care are where the public's concerns are. When asked which set of issues were important terrorism and values or the economy and health care, voters said the economy and health care by 59% to 28%.

Furthermore, Hillary Clinton's Iraq vote does provide a lot of fodder for Republicans, with regards to her going back and forth on the issue. They could make her look vacillating as they did with Kerry.

The idea that Hillary Clinton is more prepared to be Commander in Chief because she is married to a guy that was is just laughable. Bosniagate has proved that.

Obama changes the debate, he doesn't try to out-soldier McCain, just out-smart him.

Well, I believe Tom Cole is being sincere here. As far as I know. I take him at his word.

Once Obama effectively establishes the link between the trillions spent on the war and the fact that the economy is in the crapper, voters will flock to his side. And that's not an argument Hillary can make against McCain.

I think most Democrats, and definitely Independents, understand that the U.S. can't make an irresponsible withdrawl from Iraq. Obviously the conditions on the ground need to be considered. I think the majority of people simply want the U.S. to start laying out real objectives for withdrawl, and they'd like more transparency.

Dems and Independents have been pissed off about a lot of issues regarding Iraq and they are sick and tired of being told there's nothing to be pissed off about. McCain acknowledges a few failures, which is why a lot of independents have a favorable view of him. But if McCain ends up resorting to the same rhetoric Bush has used to justify a never-ending commitment by playing the "fear card," independents will start getting annoyed. I know I will.

>Cole is using the briar patch gambit. He wants Clinton to be the candidate.

Bingo. They are quite desperate to run against the Clintons.

NON-BLACK VOTERS ARE SICK OF EVERY BLACK POLITICAN/SO-CALLED RACIST PREACHERS DEFENDING THE RACIST OBAMA AND WRIGHT. THE MEDIA CAN TOUT ALL THE BOGUS LIES THEY WANT...ITS VOTERS WHO MAKE THE DECISION AND WE ARE MORE EDUCATED THAN YOU GIVE CREDIT! OBAMA IS NOT WRIGHT TO LEAD OUR COUNTRY AND WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM!!!!

Democrats NEED Clinton to stay in the race. OBAMA IS UNELECTABLE IN GENERAL ELECTION. Wright pastor is not going away anytime soon Rev Wright
says you don't have to wait for the afterlife for the mansion on the hilltop, hes right! to shut him up Trinity United Church of Christ is building Rev. Wright a $1 mil house on a lot that was purchased for $345,000. According to his federal income tax return Obama gave the Trinity United church $22,500 in contributions. CBS Chicago has strangely not released video they have of Obama at Trinity United Church of Christ Service with Pastor Wright. According to a Chicago Tribune article, at the Service Obama spoke to the cheering congregation and the choir sang, “Hallelujah Barack”. After the service Wright and Obama sat together, laughing , talking and signing books. if ANY other candidate had this controversy swirling the footage would have found it’s way to the national and cable news networks by now! Obama who marched with Farrakhan”Obama AND OPRAHS Pastor Slurs Italians in Latest Magazine (CNSNews.com) Wright continues his Obama supported attacks on non-blacks now slurring Italians in issue of Trumpet Newsmag. Wright states, Jesus enemies had their opinion, Italians looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans, and Jesus death on a cross was a public lynching Italian style! This government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse, from the Capitol to the KKKlan of white supremacy who is clearly in charge. Every issue published Wright's rant against white people in which he covers a world that is controlled by white supremacy, a country that’s on its way to hell in a hand basket because of lying politicians, in a culture that still thinks 'white is right! He said young African-American Christians are more concerned about 'bling bling' than about freeing their minds and still Obama says I could no more disown him than I could disown the black community. Trumpet Newsmagazine started 80s, Wright is CEO and Wright's daughter, Jeri Wright, is the publisher. Requests for comments Obama camp of course not answered. Trumpet Nov/Dec edition, featured Louis Farrakhan, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement "Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter" award. Farrakhan has called Judaism a "gutter religion" and said Jews are "bloodsuckers. Many of the biased cable news pundits try to make viewers believe Obama's speech limited damage of Wright controversy, but the general election will show voters strongly disagree, especially non-black voters. Obama refuses to explain to the public why he would have someone as such a close spiritual advisor and mentor and why he would expose two young daughters to such hatefulness against fellow Americans. The problem Wright's comments are not theological views, but political statements. This is a serious issue for Obama in general election. As with each new utterance on the topic of Reverend Wright, Barack Obama confirms his own moral obliviousness and he seems to have disdain for those who are troubled by his own unwillingness to break with Wright, even worse Obama still insists Wright is a brilliant man, So brilliant, apparently, that he has uncovered the plot by white America to kill African Americans, so insightful to perceive the 9/11 attacks caused by American terrorism and his discerning observation Israel is a “dirty” word, and still in Obama’s eyes, Wright is brilliant. This, we are told by biased cable news pundits like CNN Obamaphiles, is not supposed to affect voters’ view of Obama’s judgment. Perhaps voters are embarrassed to tell pollsters they are privately offended. General election Republicans as well as independents and democrats are irked by this moral obtuseness even though media like CNN or Hardball cover it up with bogus Clinton attacks.

Against Obama, John McCain and the Republicans are going to front national security.

Bring it on. When the Dems put McCain's own words and record on Iraq front and center, it will be painfully obvious that the man has no idea what he's babbling about.

But if McCain ends up resorting to the same rhetoric Bush has used to justify a never-ending commitment by playing the "fear card,"...

The problem is that neither McCain nor Bush can explain exactly what MUST be accomplished. (Bush tried, but every time he did it he had to move the goalposts because he realized we weren't going to achieve "success".) Saying stupid things like "failure is not an option" is meant to obscure the fact that you can't define success and refuse to define failure. And if you refuse to define failure, you'll never be able to recognize it, no matter how many people die or how much money is spent.

Well, dang, now I can't find the poll. But I saw one this morning that, of likely Republican voters, 60+% think Clinton would be easier to beat, and 20% think Obama would be. Cole may genuinely be in that 20%, but....

Dems had very similar numbers, though more like 2:1 instead of 3:1 that Obama would be more likely to beat McCain than would Clinton.

Okay, Marc. I never say this about anyone, journalists or otherwise, but you are obviously in the tank for Hillary Clinton. We all know it's true. Just man up and admit it.

OBAMA: ANOTHER SUPER, EXAGGERATION

Washington Post caught Obama in a lie about the Kennedy family role.
Politico reports, “During his first run for elected office, Barack Obama played a greater role than he acknowledges in crafting liberal stands on gun control, the death penalty and abortion– positions that appear at odds with the more moderate image he’s projected during his presidential campaign. The evidence comes from an amended version of an Illinois voter group’s detailed questionnaire, filed under his name during his bid for a state Senate. In response to a Politico story, Obama’s answers he never saw questioaire?

Obama said he goofed on votes angered fellow Democrats in the Senate when he voted to strip millions of dollars from a child welfare office on Chicago's West Side. But Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed! Also announced he had fumbled an election-reform vote the day before, on a measure that passed 51 to 6. The next day, he acknowledged voting "present" on a key telecommunications vote. He stood on March 11, 1999, to take back his vote against legislation to end good-behavior credits for certain felons in county jails. "I pressed the wrong button on that," he said. Obama was the lone dissenter on Feb. 24, 2000, against 57 yeas for a ban on human cloning. "I pressed the wrong button by accident," he said. But two of Obama's bumbles came on more-sensitive topics, he backed legislation to permit riverboat casinos to operate even when the boats were dockside. The measure, pushed by the gambling industry and fought by church groups whose support Obama was seeking, passed with two "yeas" to spare -- including Obama's. Moments after its passage he rose to say, explaining that he had mistakenly voted for it.

Obama would later develop a reputation as a critic of the gambling industry, and he voted against a similar measure two years later. But he was clearly confused about how to handle the issue at the time of his first vote, telling a church group that he was "undecided" about whether he backed an expansion of riverboat gambling. And, months earlier, he had voted in favor of a version of the bill.

OBAMA LIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AD
It's unfortunate that Senator Obama is using false advertising to explain why he can be trusted to do something about energy prices. In his ad, Obama says, I'm Barack Obama, and I don't take money from oil companies or lobbyists, and I won't let them block change any more. Obama has been the recipient of more than $220,000 from the oil and gas industry just since as of Feb/08. Two of Obama's campaign bundlers are also CEOs for oil and gas companies, per his campaign Web site? Obama needs to answer to VOTERS about his dealings with one of his largest contributors Exelon, a big nuclear power company that he cut deals behind closed doors protecting them from full disclosure in the nuclear industry. Exxon, Shell, and others are among his biggest donors

Senator Obama CAUGHT LYING about Kennedy Role in Helping His Father
Contrary to Obama's claims in speeches Kennedy family did not provide the funding for a September 1959 airlift of 81 Kenyan students to the United States that included Obama's father. According to historical records and interviews with participants, the Kennedys were approached for support for the program a year later, July 1960. family responded with a $100,000 donation, which went to pay for a second airlift in September 1960.

According to Citizen Wells - March 21, 2008: Obama has a dual citizenship with Kenya. His passport was breached today by inquiring minds because Obama is an anti-Israel, pro-pan-Arabian Islamic-socialist who has ties to Marxist Libyan President Muamar al Gadaffi, and a Syrian tycoon, Antoin Rezko, Saudi Arabian Scheiks and Rezko's "close friend" Nadhami Auchi, the one who gave Obama fundraiser money (and helped to buy his mansion): Iraqi billionaire, global arms dealer, Nadhmi Auchi, was Baathist best friends with Saddam Hussein, and the main financial backer (from funds stolen from Oil for Food Program0 for Saddam's - Iraqi -Saudi oil pipeline, and who stood trial with Saddam Hussein in 1959 for conspiring to assassinate Iraqi President Qasim.

Jose @ 3.12pm,

You come across as crazy. You would seem less crazy if you used transitions, topic sentences and a paragraph format.

Sincerely,

Your 9th grade English Teacher

Against Obama, John McCain and the Republicans are going to front national security.

Like they would never run against Clinton on national security.

I'm starting to suspect back room channels to the Clintons. Some lowly aid: "Golly gee whiz Mr. Penn, everyone knows Hillary's John's equal in this....his mentor, really.....Uh huh....Yes, frankly we don't know what we'd use against her. She has all that CinC experience from the 90s, which John, let's be honest, does not..."

So we're letting the Republicans choose our candidates now? Since when does this guy's opinion carry any real weight, seeing as he stands to directly benefit from advocating for the weakest Democratic candidate?

Marc, you have to be kidding me. This shit wasn't even worth posting - unless you're in the tank for Clinton. It's not like it wouldn't be the first time.

Have most Independents truly been paying attention to the party primaries? Maybe. But I'm betting they've been paying more attention to the Democratic primary than the Republican primary because they want to know about Obama. People think they already know about McCain the "maverick." And when they discover how truly conservative McCain is they will not be impressed (and I'm speaking as an Independent, who checked this out):

-More tax cuts for the wealthy
-Anti-family planning and anti-pro choice
-Hawkish foreign policy record (military action against everyone from Russia to North Korea)
-No help for sub-prime mortgage victims (except the big banks)
-And 100 years of Iraq?

Independents want a centrist and lean more toward Dems. McCain is definitely not a centrist and he's going to pander to EVERYONE (just look at his latest foreign policy speech about how the U.S. should "work with other nations" and his embrace of the Religious Right who are no longer "agents of intolerance").

I don't think McCain's been "vetted" by the media or by most voters. I think the general will bring all of his views to the forefront and the debates will too. Plus, the Dems can continually harp on the McCain=Bush belief.

Yeah, right. If Cole was handed the gift of a Clinton nomination, he would claim she was to the left of Fidel Castro and as qualified to be Commander in Chief as the bagger at the local grocery store.

Of course they will try to do that with any Democratic nominee, including Obama. But the silly part is in Cole suggesting that somehow they wouldn't use those tactics against Clinton.

Speaking as a life long Democrat, I have never voted Republican in my life! I have always believed my vote to be more in line with Christian viewpoints, as in caring for the poor and needy. If Obama is the nominee, I could not in good conscience be able to vote for him. His "church" is following the teachings of someone, but it is not Jesus Christ! There are millions of Christian Democrats who feel like I do. Hillary is the only hope of a Democratic White House.

Found the poll showing Rs think Hillary is easier to beat by 3:1: theswamp.

Marc,

I must say I find the mental gymnastics you perform to justify a Hillary nomination to be highly entertaining.

1) Tom Cole says he'd rather run against Hillary when it's clear that Obama is going to be the nominee. Are you seriously falling for such elementary reverse psychology? C'mon!

2) Iraq didn't disqualify Hillary, so it won't necessarily hurt McCain? Um, Marc, Hillary at least flip-flopped to feign a pro-withdrawal position...that's kind of different from McCain going full speed ahead. And Hillary has primarily been able to blur the Iraq distinctions becasue the media has let her, not because the voters are ok with the war.

3) Yeah, buddy...the "punished with a baby" thing is going to evoke the rage of pro-lifers everywhere...just like you thought the "typical white person" would sink Obama.

I've got a newsflash for you, Marc. The American people are not obsessed with gotcha politics and taking statements out of context like you are. What you will never understand is that people vote for Obama not just because of insipration, but because he is not so dman scripted. If you act like a regular human being, people will cut you a little slack if something comes out the wrong way.

4) Your implication that Hillary is going to do better on national security is absurd.

Hello, Marc, do remember "John Kerry was for the war before he was against it." Being a vietnam vet who voted for the war did not stop Kerry from being labeled a weak flip flopper. I wonder why you seem so eager to have the dems re-run a 2004 triangulating posture on national security. Maybe because you really heart McCain because he is so cool and ironic and serves great BBQ and reminds you of your favorite uncle?

Meanwhile, Marc and the rest of the mainstream media is ignoring how Bill Clinton just undermined HIllary's arguments to superdelegates yesterday.

"Hillary is the only hope of a Democratic White House"

A Democratic Black House is unacceptable.

Obama's weaknesses as a general election candidate against McCain are legion. Most damning is the disconnect between his message of transcendence and his actual record. He does not represent a new, post-partisan politics--instead, he has consistently aligned himself with the far left. He does not transcend race, but has chosen to listen to a racially divisive and bigoted message for years--without doing anything about it.

When confronted with these issues, Obama lies--asserting that he was unaware of Wrights controversial message and that he did not see the questionnaire documenting his far left positions on a variety of issues in 1995 (though it has now been disclosed that his handwriting was on the questionnaire) or that the National Journal ranking that identified him as the most liberal member of the Senate is flawed.

These lies and justifications eviserate Obama's core message--the very reason and justification for his canidacy--hope, transcendence, change-- and we are left with a first term Senator. Add to that the fact that Obama faces the challenge of being the first african american president and that he is trying to clear that hurdle carrying the baggage of Jeremiah Wright. Add to that the issue of patriotism--Michelle's commentary on pride, his own opportunistic use of the flag (no to the lapel, but 8 big ones for a speech on race).

His failure to connect with blue collar workers is telling, but his coalition won't really start to erode until he gets the full-on spot light during the general. Then the 527s will connect all these points into a narrative that will be simple, compelling and fatal.

Wow...Marc is really carrying Hillary's water with this post.

These arguments for Hillary do not make sense. Has it ever occurred to you that the Republican cited may be using reverse psychology? That maybe he listens to Rush Limbaugh and knows the best way now to bloody the Democratic party is to push Hillary?

And let's face it; no matter who the Democratic nominee, the GOP will push the same tired national security argument. Think McCain wouldn't make Hillary look silly, with her Bosnia video and all?

With Hillary, we basically have her arguing on points of experience and national security that play to McCain's advantage; he wins on those arguments. So she would play on his terms.

But with Obama we redefine the argument; we dictate the terms. Obama would appeal to us in a new way: that security means strong diplomatic relations, means going after the real targets, like Bin Laden, and not tying up our military resources in dumb ventures.

As for that dumb criticism of Obama's comment on teen pregnancy; he was right. I mean what is McCain going to do; argue that a child having a baby is such a great thing?

Finally, there's this simple point: in most elections, after all the fancy analysis, often it comes down to who the most likable and trustworthy candidate seems to be. Obama wins that contest vs McCain, whereas McCain wins that contest vs Hillary.

NONE OF THIS MATTERS NOW!

Hillary has flatly stated she plans to take this all the way to the Credentials committee at the convention in August, and have a floor battle over MI and FL…

This will do irreparable damage to the Democratic Party. Not only in November of 2008, but Down stream to the point that it very likely will not even exist within the next ten to fifteen years.

McCain is already in general election mode. He’s going to have the better part of seven months to hammer out his general election message.

Thanks to Hillbilly the Democrats are going to have seven weeks to try and repair a deeply fractured and in many cases embittered voting collation…

This kind of asinine behavior is why seven of the last ten General Elections have gone Republican.
The Democratic Party has had several times they during that period that they not only could have won but should have won. However they blow it every single time, with petty crap like this!

I'm not sure even grammar can save Jose's sanity. Even correcting for grammar, he makes no good points and provides no insight. He is, I suspect, simply unhinged.

Clinton is clearly the weakest link. Republicans salivate at the prospect of running against her and the fact that this guy would cite her ability to be the commander-in-chief after a week where her claims to that post have been debunked are proof-postive of this. We clearly analyze situations through the prism of our experience. I am in my late 20s, affluent, and white. My friends are primarily in their late 20s or early 30s and mostly white and Latino. Every single one of them would flip from Democrat to Green, and in some cases Republican, if Clinton is the nominee. Perhaps it's not a rational response, but then again the obsession with Wright is not rational at all since it has absolutely 0 impact on any American's life (And if I knew anyone who cared about that nonsense I would immediately question their intelligence). Furthermore, even though I have voted Dem since I have been old enough to vote, my family is primarily Republican or apolitical and from Arizona. And guess who they're excited to vote for? that's right Obama. They would NEVER flip for any other Dem. So that's basically my experience. I expect that it's not so uncommon.

You know, it's just slightly possible that "NRCC chairman Rep. Tom Cole" might not give a honest on-the-record answer about which Democrat he'd prefer on top of the ticket.

This will shock everyone, but politicians in his position usually "spin" their answers rather than answer straightforwardly and from the heart.

YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

DON'T BE DUPED !!!

Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses from early on. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.

But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).

I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of plenty for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-selves, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.

You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don’t want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-selves.

Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. She also leads in the electoral college numbers that you must win to become President in the November national election. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!

As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.

Hillary Clinton has been out manned, out gunned, and out spent 4 and 5 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.

If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.

The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket. Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.

I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton’s offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama’s place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history.

The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.

Fortunately the Clinton’s have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton’s. Only the Clinton’s are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.

“This is not a game” (Hillary Clinton)

Sincerely

Sounds like "jacksmith" is confused as to who Obama is running against in the primary. Hey, Jack. It's NOT BILL CLINTON!

If a Clinton were to get into the White House in this election, IT WOULDN'T BE BILL!

Just thought I should clear that up for you.

How is it that the Republican Leaders are coming out to endorse Clinton -- and the Democratic Leaders are coming out to endorse Obama?
