Item: Bill Clinton is a staunch supporter of the Colombian free trade agreement.

Item: Hillary Clinton wants President Bush to boycott the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, but Bill Clinton doesn't share the approach.

The campaign responds:

Senator Clinton is the candidate for president and she is a clear and firm opponent of the Colombian free trade agreement. Like other married couples who disagree on issues from time to time, she disagrees with her husband on this issue. President Clinton has been public about his support for Columbia's request for U.S. trade preferences since 2000.

Just watch the Chinese boycott the Treasury Bill auctions with a President Hillbilly in the White House.

A 2% rise in long term interest rates will wipe out any possible benefits from a government funded mortgage interest relief program.

Imagine if the best 30 year mortgage rate you can get is 8 to 9%.

If inflation ramps up to 6%, the best rate will probably be closer to 10 to 12%

That will put an end to people being able to move and sell their house easily, because they can't get another loan at anywhere close to their previous rate of 6%, it will kill the resale market as people cannot "trade up", and forget about home equity loans when the value of homes drop.

Go on, kill the Free Trade Deal, levy sanctions on China, go on.....

At least Bill C has political horse sense.

He is just a bit hard to swallow at times, as Monica would say.

Yeah, but this marital disagreement could potentially have effects on millions of lives, here and abroad. The fact they'd belittle that as such is insulting.

I have to wonder what Hillary's real feelings are. She was NOT opposed to NAFTA, unless "opposition" means publicly advocating FOR it.

Her campaign manager supports it, her husband supports it, her business and lobbyist contributors support it. Are we to beleive that she somehow stands alone among everyone close to her in her "principles"?

shouldn't be allowed NEAR the Whitehouse again.
Stop asking Hillary what she can do for YOU,
and start thinking about what you can do to
keep THEM from a reincarnation they don't deserve. They have more skeletons in the closet
than any recent political pair, and the ones
you don't know about now will sure as hell
come out in the next few years.....and will
decimate the "honor" of the Presidency.
