Ex-Clinton Insider Launches Unity Ticket Drive

07 Apr 2008 07:02 am

Hillary/Obama '08 becomes official today. In a way.

A Clinton insider who served as ex campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle's executive assistant for several years has set up a new website, http://www.voteboth.com/ and plans to register with the Federal Election Commission today.

VoteBoth urges Democrats to support a joint Clinton-Obama ticket.

Its creator, Adam Parkhomenko, resigned from the campaign three weeks ago.

He had been one of the first employees of the 2006 incarnation of Clinton's political action committee, HillPAC, and his proximity to the powers of the campaign will raise the question of whether the effort is sanctioned by the campaign. (Parkhomenko says that the idea was his own.)

The website features a petition to members of the Democratic National Committee "to support a unity ticket with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama."

Five years ago, another unauthorized Parkhomenko website, VoteHillary.org, caught the attention of Clinton; he was hired by Solis Doyle in 2005.

Ugh. I hate her campaign so much. They are so endlessly desperate.

Why on earth would Obama want to be VP on a losing ticket?

They picked the wrong picture for this. I can't find the research anymore, but I remember a study that said that when looking at a picture of two people discussing, arguing, etc., people assume the person on the left is correct. This result reverses in cultures where people read right to left.

Back in my previous career in directing in theatre, I used this notion all of the time to manipulate perception.

Finally, I agree with Kristen. These people give Machiavelli a bad name.

This is like the last stand. But imagine supporters opening up boxes of grenades and pulling pins, but forgetting to throw them at the enemy!

All I can say to them, "Don't forget that box over there, labeled 'Nukes'!"

Self-destruction is great.

Adam Parkhomenko is monumentally obsessed with Hillary in a very unhealthy way. I used to work for HillPAC/FOH and can tell you I've been waiting for something like this since I heard he had left the campaign. When I saw this headline I knew exactly who was behind this push.

Parkhomenko goes back way way further than 2006. He was one of the people who urged Hillary to run in 2004 and was working for HillPAC/FOH since at least 2002.

Don't trust him

NEVER!

Notice it's "Clinton/Obama"?

What. A. Joke.

My thought is an echo of several previous: blech. This ticket wouldn't mix at all. Now, I do think that Clinton-Obama is more feasible than Obama-Clinton, because as weak as Senator Clinton's presidential candidacy is, she would be an even worse vice presidential candidate, especially on an Obama ticket (she'd sink it like a rock).

I do think that Kevin's comment on right-to-left bias is interesting, though. Personally, I can't see this catching on any time soon. The only thing that this could possibly do is reduce the bleeding, since Obama supporters aren't going to go to this website (maybe I should stop the sentence there) and say, "Hmm...yeah, maybe my candidate should concede the race while he's far ahead and accept a role in an administration that has few inherent powers."

Obama/Clinton, maybe. Why would Obama take the VP slot when he's ahead? Can you really imagine Obama as the VP going toe to toe with Bill Clinton? He'd have no influence at all.

In other news, the New York Giants have decided to share the Vince Lombardi Super Bowl XLII trophy with the New England Patriots because, after all, they were inevitable through 16 regular season games, 2 playoff games, and 58 minutes of the Super Bowl. The collector's DVD will prominently feature Randy Moss and Tom Brady on the cover, with Eli Manning's pass to Plaxico Burress with 1 minute remaining in the Super Bowl contained in the deleted scenes.

Clinton shouldn't be on the democratic ticket come the fall. I personally think that Gov. Sellibus is the best VP Obama has right now: she's a governor, strong on domestic issues, was against the war, and would pull back the female base of the party.

The fact is, Obama is going to go into this with a percieved national security deficit and picking a VP to ameloriate this won't help at all. Cheney didn't do that for Bush in 2000.

Nope, the best thing is to choose someone who can deliver and Gov. Sellibus can deliver Kansas and the woo women back to Obama on the top of the ticket.

This is just a pathetic attempt to generate publicity and position Clinton back onto the ticket.

sad, pathetic, insulting to your intelligence: the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign.

I'll vote for her to be on the ticket (as veep) the day she suspends her campaign and stops wasting everybody's time. I refuse to reward her threats of taking it to the convention by handing her a spot on the ticket. Quit the campaign, Hillary, then we can discuss (but ultimately reject) the possibility of you being the vice presidential nominee.

Another manipulative, desperation tactic to confuse people. It has already been shot down logically thinking people (which again shows how illogical Clinton camp is) with Nancy leading that chorus.

Short rebut:

"She needs him, he doesn't need her."

From Kevin

"They picked the wrong picture for this. I can't find the research anymore, but I remember a study that said that when looking at a picture of two people discussing, arguing, etc., people assume the person on the left is correct. This result reverses in cultures where people read right to left."

Kevin,

I agreed with you until I realized who the ads intended audience was. Clintonites are already going to vote for her. So who is left to convince? Obama people. I think its possible they chose this picture on purpose because it makes Obama supporters feel good. Heck, I almost had an emotional warm feeling about the ad before my intelectual side remembered what was really being pushed. My guess is that the picture was a placating move to make Obama supporters feel like they ARE right and would be winning. Just my take though.

Adam

No.

Or to echo Meng: Blech. It cannot be said enough.

Or to echo Jon Chait this morning: The presidency is not about the self-actualization of Senator Clinton and those who want to self-actualize vicariously through her; it is an instrument for policy and legislative change.

Hillbilly poisons the well, and now she wants everyone, including herself, to drink from it.

Is it a surprise that McCained is offering a more appetizing well to drink from?

McCained have no doubt that OBammBamm, if elected by the American people, is ready to be President.

See:

"Yet, he was presented with this question on Fox News Sunday today: “Putting aside your differences on issues, straight talk, is Barack Obama qualified to be president?’’ host Chris Wallace asked.

“If the voters decide that, of America, absolutely,’’ McCain replied."

These guys have some balls! Clinton/Obama ticket? What a F---? Will not happen. Not even Obama/Clinton. Hillary should just go. Just go away!

WTF??????

For me, this would be like taking a perfectly good bowl of soup and dropping a rat turd in it. I have some very good reasons for not supporting Hillary.

This move seems designed to hurt Obama.

D

That was refreshing.

Can we exchange McCain for HRC please ? Hillary will fit hand in glove with that Rove and RW media.

Re: 8:37.

Your Super Bowl analogy nailed this.

expat: You are such a fibber, you used to work there? Do you even know anything about Mr. Parkhomenko? Do you know how old he is? and, more importantly, how old he was in 2002, when according to you he urged Sen. Clinton to run?

Why not McCain/Clinton. It's a much bettefr fit.

Reality has never been a strong suit of the Clinton campaign, but this really is just unhinged.

Go to the VoteBoth website. All they have is a place where they get your name and EMail address, while offering no content whatever.

Are you sure this is not a Arizonan, Floridian, Nigerian, Israeli, Russian, or Ukranian scam?

Obama needs to end this thing as soon as possible so that there is absolutely no pressure to add the Clintons to his ticket. (That machine needs to be put to bed.)

yes I do. I know he's 17 going on 56 as a person (complete with hairline). Ok yes, he's 23 now and was one of two people urging Hillary to run in 2004. they hired him and sued the other guy.

I know the reason I left had nothing to do with Hillary (who I think is a great Senator for me, being from NY) but rather to do with Patti Solis Doyle and her cult of self-serviance. She was abusive to staff and supporters alike. The second she fired Patti in favor of Maggie Williams I was afraid for Obama because it would drag on and she finally had competent support and management.

Call me a fibber, I don't care. I know the people involved, and know Parkohmenko well enough to know he won't stop until she is president.

I would vote for a McCain/Obama, OR a Obama/McCain ticket if I voted.

Fortunately I don't vote.

Spared the agony.

Sure... this has NOTHING to do with Hillary's campaign; ignore the fact that the guy running it used to work for her campaign, the campaign that happened to be the one that originally floated the idea of a joint ticket in the first place...

Last ditch effort at salvaging her executive branch chances, I say (although I'm open to other ideas). Although with her, I'd watch over my shoulder every second.

This kind of crap makes me just hate the whole clinton campaign. At least for me it is totally transparent what they're trying to do. They have a lot of nerve.

Whoa, I assumed this would be a last-gasp effort to get Hillary on the ticket as VP, i.e. an Obama/Clinton ticket. Suggesting Hillary should be on the top of the ticket when she has already lost? That is just sad.

A very small push-back, morally empty but quite satisfying: join me in corrupting this cynical data scoop, one fake name at a time. I just added "Angry Dem" at an email address ending with the domain "thisiteisascam.us," but I'm sure there's room in the rolls for a few hundred "Hillary Shouldquits" and "Desperate Ploys."

Why is everyone so sour? I don't know, this is not so bad, reading it counter-intuitively, it's quite a charming image really, it shows Hillary as magnanimous, solution-oriented, her hand outstretched to shake his. Dare I say it, she looks like a uniter.

Its the sort of image I'll remember four years from now if Obama looses to John McCain, or if Obama makes a hash of his first term a la Jimmy Carter. The image says to me, well, she did offer to help. I'll remember that.

Once again... more Clinton Kool-Aid.

"it shows Hillary as magnanimous, solution-oriented"

Is the "solution" you are referring to fuming Nitric or Sulfuric Acid?

Dude, if Obama loses to Ancient, Brittle Warmonger John McCain, Hillary's first in line for the blame. And so are you.

Pardon my attitude, Exocet, as I've had only 2 hours of sleep, but I have to ask: are you a fucking moron?

You're asking us to accept the underlying suggestion in the image when that's exactly what's so offensive. Yes, she's supposed to look subserviant and magnanimous and like a uniter, which is in direct contrast to her actions before in the campaign when she suggested that he be her VP (as the line "Clinton/Obama '08" does), when she was simultaneously claiming that Obama was not qualified to be President (and therefore Vice-President).

Take off your combination beer-goggles/rose-colored glasses and rub the 8 year-old dust out of your eyes. "She did offer to help" reflects your understanding of a few things: that (A) her campaign is behind this, (B) that she and you think her presence is actually helpful and (C) that only through her is victory possible. She's doing a favor? Ha!

There's a reason the Republicans took the House for the first time in 30+ years under the Clintons. There's a reason Rush Limbaugh is urging partisan Republicans to vote for Clinton in the primaries. Nothing gets the right-wing more energized that the name Clinton - which ironically enough is Hillary's main selling point. And it gets them energized for good reason - the Clintons are actively making sure they are the most corrupt politcal family in America, which is pretty hard given the way we know Bush got into office.

Once they get over their dyslexia and reverse the order, I'll be on board as will the majority of the democratic party.

Hillary brings nothing to the ticket except her and her husband's endless list of controversies. Every strike against Obama is a valid strike against Hillary, so if you're an advocate for using the VP slot to "shore up" support in weak areas, Hillary is at the very bottom of the list.

Jim Webb or Wes Clark or Joe Biden or Chris Dodd or Kathy Sebelius or the head dog catcher in Bangor, Maine would be more helpful than her. At least the dog catcher doesn't have the drama of the late 90s tied to him.

Not only that, but Hillary exemplifies everything Obama has based his campaign on standing against: divisive, manipulative politics, and Democrats not standing their ground on important issues and then crying about it later. He doesn't shy away from referring to the "politics of the 90s" in negative terms, which is a thinly-veiled prod at her and her husband.

Hillary is a serial liar and Obama doesn't need her tied to his campaign. Once the women's magazines start publishing articles about how Roe v. Wade hangs in the balance in this election, the feminists who somehow think Hillary would best represent their interests simply because she's a woman would fall back in line. Obama doesn't need Hillary; she would inhibit his call for a "break from the politics of the 90s".

Funnily enough, when I see Hillary grinning like that, the only thought that goes through my mind is "Granny, what big teeth you've got".

Why on earth would Obama want to be VP on a losing ticket?

I am not even sure why he would want to be a VP on a winning ticket. There are reasons that certain politicians can help their careers by becoming VP. Its an essentially powerless position but it offers a chance to "ride coattails" on a successful administration. While the effectiveness of this a campaign pitch is certainly overrated, its probably the best chance some politicians have to put themselves in position for a Presidential run.

That is not the case for Obama. Its not even the case for Clinton. Neither of them really have anything to gain politically by basically taking the next 4-8 years off sitting around the White House twiddling their thumbs and accomplishing nothing. What is really the point of this sort of nonsense?

If Hillary gets the VP slot, I'd suggest that Obama avoid the Senate on March 15th.

brent - For all his faults, Dick Cheney did do one thing: make the Vice Presidency valuable again. He managed to do so by getting GWB to stock the cabinent with Cheney's people, primarily Rumsfeld.

I think Obama is a stronger personality than GWB, but hypothetically speaking, if Obama/Clinton was elected, do any of us doubt that she'd insist on having her cronies find their way into the cabinet so that she and Bill could exercise disproportionate influence on the policies of the United States?

An opportunity to use my favorite Andrew Sullivan quote: "She's Cheney in a pant-suit."

Obama will never pick Clinton to be VP.Rightly so. She has proven to be one nasty piece of work. ( Also, she also has shown she has no sense of who she really is) The sooner she drops out of the race, the better

please remove the paid by obama. Obama would never sponsor a loser like hillary

The timing is odd indeed. The meaning that comes across is that it is late in the game and the only way to get Clinton on the ticket is on Obama's coattails. So, despite the hocus-pocus of Clinton/Obama, the true meaning of this effort is to at least get Hillary on the ticket, so the hidden premise is Obama/Clinton. However, I don't think it will work. Obama has several better choices, including at least one female, Kathleen Sebelius, two-time governor of Kansa, an early Obama supporter.

As a Baby Boomer who has been in politics for years. I have been saying for months that Obama can't get elected in November. We are being set up and many naive Obama supporters are going to get the lesson of their lives. Red states are not going to vote for Obama in November. They are just messing with us. But Obama supporters don't have a clue as to how the political game is played. (It's state by state, not popular vote.)

I REALLY hate to say this, but when it comes down to it, many white men will not vote for Obama. All the racists are not dead yet. They view this as their last stand for white power. I have written many progressive talk shows who are pushing Obama and doing nothing but Hillary hate speech. I tell them the same thing, but they never respond. They never take the subject up.

Not only that, these hate talkers are only hurting & turning off the Democratic base. And who is the Democratic base? WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!

Many women have told me just how pissed off they are at the progressive talk shows, the pro Obama press, and the naive Obama supporters. Will they vote for McCain? NO! But many have said they won't vote for president. As a political junkie, I know that is a vote for McCain.

I blame a lot of the progressive talk show hosts for this whole mess.
(One host has called Hillary a whore!)

Either Obama and Clinton should run together or else we need someone else. (Edwards or Gore would be great).

There are not enough young voters to overcome the white male vote and the pissed off female vote.

More than anything we need a Dem in the White House. But what have we done?????????

To the haters above, you are the number one reason that so many women say they will leave the party if your hate pushes Hillary out of the race. Do you ever listen to yourself? Do you ever ask yourself why you are so consumed with an irrational hatred that is destroying the Democratic Party?

Considering that Hillary is 4 percent down in the delegate count, shouldn't this site be promoting an Obama/Clinton ticket, instead of a Clinton/Obama ticket?

Oh, I get it, this site was built by a Clintonista trying to obscure the differences between the candidates.

This guy stalks politicians and has for a long time, since he was in high school. Google the dude's name and read articles about his obsession with politicians. Weirdo.

What have we done?

Handed the White House to McCain.

Clinton and Obama should run together.

Obama fans here continue to resist reality.
There is every chance in the world that Hillary will carry a great deal of power into the convention. he sports analogy above sucks and doesnot translate to this situation because this is not a winner take all game for a stupid trophy and to sell a lot of tee shirts.
Whomever wins the nomination still needs the voters from the 2nd place campaign to beat the other party's nominee.
Obama will absolutely need the Hillary voters (all of them) and Hillary would absolutely need the obama supporters (most of them) so if the second place democrat brings 1500 delegates into the convention there absolutely will be some placating going on.
Obama is trying to get to Denver without cutting deals and that looks like a mistake. the closer he gets to the convention the more he will have to bargain away.
His weekly poker games with Illinois lobbiests may not have prepared him for the stakes in this game where he seems not willing to ante up.

This is ridiculous. I will NEVER vote for Hillary Clinton - EVER EVER EVER EVER. I love Barack Obama, but I will not vote for him if Hillary is anywhere near the ticket. She is a liar and I hope she loses her Senate seat.

Sorry, but I don't want to see a dishonest, cowardly loser like Clinton on Obama's ticket. If some of the Clintonites scurry off to kiss McCain's ass, we are well rid of them.

egalia - Women will leave the Democratic party right after defense contractors stop supporting the Republican party: it ain't gonna happen.

And what irrational hatred do you speak of? The "hatred" based on the Clintons' strategy of selling out - I mean, triangulation? The laundry list of scandals and ethical lapses the Clintons have accumulated? The "hatred" based on the fact that some women have convinced themselves that Hillary is a symbol for the achievements of the feminist movement even though her entire political career is rooted in her marriage to her husband, thereby spitting in the face of everything that feminism actually stands for? The constant parsing of language ("read the fine print, asshole!") and double-talk (she was for stripping FL and MI of votes before she was against it; her vote for the Authorization for the Use of Military Force was really for diplomacy)? Related to the parsing of language and double-speak is her propensity to imbellish and lie at every turn? You mean that "hatred"?

It's not hatred. Surrounding Clinton's presidency is 20 years of Republican rule; during Clinton's presidency he isolated the "Democratic wing of the Democratic party". This is, so to speak, the Clintons' chickens coming home to roost.

Wanting to be part of the ticket by any means necessary only speaks to how pathetic the Clinton aparatus really is. I'll be glad when this movie is over.

No, No, No---NEVER! They should open up comments on their site. They'd really get an earful on this arrogant idea. Since when does the person in 2nd place get to offer the Vice Presidency to the candidate in 1st? Please someone, make her stop!

Hillary Clinton should definitely pick her own VP.

(1) Either Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton insulting and absurd, so...

(2) Why is Marc pushing it?

(And yes, by mentioning it, he is pushing it.)

What? The comments from the Obama people are just like Obama--arrogant and self-delusional.

Why don't we start by counting the votes in MI and FL; then we are talking about real democracy.

Remember when every vote counted? Hillary at the top of the ticket with whomever she wants.

I will not, under ANY circumstances, vote for Hillary Clinton.

And, I have to wonder..what the hell do Hillary's supporters have to be MAD about?

Obama has beaten her fair and square. I find their sense of outrage, as if Obama has ' cheated' somehow.

He outraised her. He outmaneuvered her. He ran a 50 State Strategy, while she ran an ' inevitability' campaign that sort of wound up not being so 'inevitable.'

But, Hell-to-the-naw

of Hillary being Obama's VP.

Uh uh.

Doesn't need her anywhere near his ticket.

DownriverDem: I am a 52-year-old woman, an Edwards supporter who switched to Obama when Edwards dropped out, and have decided that as much as I hate rewarding her for her appalling behavior, and as much as I dread the thought of another 4-8 years of Clinton drama, I will push the button for her in November if I have to....because John McCain is utterly bats**t crazy.

If Hillary's women are going to take their dollies and dishes and go home and sulk because the American people decided they wanted something other than someone sucking up to the same people who tried to destroy her for fifteen years, then they deserve John McCain, they deserve to lose Roe v. Wade, and they deserve the "Handmaid's Tale" society they're going to live in.

It's only too bad they're going to pull the rest of us down with them.

BayAreaVoter - This is the essence of Hillary's message about Michigan and Florida at this point: they need their voices heard! It flies in the face of democracy! Sounds great!

...except she was for their voices "not counting" before she was against it. And to count those states as they stand would disenfranchise the people that didn't show up because they were told their delegates were stripped. Is it a coincidence that Florida and Michigan are the ONLY states in which Democratic turnout was less than Republican turnout? Nope! It's because Dems were told they wouldn't count.

Not only that, but her reasoning for staying in the race is that delegates - of any sort, including pledged delegates - aren't bound to any candidate. But pledged delegates represent the voters that made them pledged delegates in the first place, meaning that pledged delegates represent the voices of the people that have voted. Meaning that Senator Clinton's only chance at winning the nomination flies in the face of her argument for having Florida and Michigan either seated or having re-votes.

Truly this is evidence of a campaign gone to the shitter!

He is unelectable, because of Wright, Rezko, etc. She would be crazy to link herself to him in any way. Hillary will win on her own merits, despite having the MSM and the DNC in the bag for Obama.

"If Hillary gets the VP slot, I'd suggest that Obama avoid the Senate on March 15th."

Props to a fellow history lover.

The Clinton campaign really needs to ask this guy to take the site down. It's just embarrassing for all concerned.

"But Obama supporters don't have a clue as to how the political game is played. (It's state by state, not popular vote.)" --Downriver Dem

Clinton has a state-by-state strategy, but Obama is relying on the popular vote? Thanks for the giggle of my morning.

I support this ticket.

"Obama supporters don't have a clue as to how the political game is played"

That's funny; you'd think that the Obama campaign's practically insurmountable lead in delegates would indicate that Obama supporters do, in fact, know how the game is played.

Obama would only be a liability for Hillary. He has done nothing but create racial and sexual divisions within the party, and his political, spiritual, social associations are reprhensible.

The only way those two could run for the Presidency on the same ticket is if they were married. Even then, it might not be viable.

They have nothing in common except their policy positions, and even then, since their styles are as much at odds as they appear to be it's hard to imagine them achieving anything constructive.

What a shame Parkhomenko just put up a petition. I was hoping for a place to actually discuss the concept.

Why would obama what to put himself in the gutter. Clinton is a lier and a cheat, thats why she got fired while working on the watergate caase, for lying and removing files. who needs a low life?

"VoteBoth urges Democrats to support a joint Clinton-Obama ticket. Its creator, Adam Parkhomenko, resigned from the campaign three weeks ago."

Adam was probably asked to resign, for making that very suggestion. But a leopard never changes her spots. That being said, I go back to this recent but telling story. It’s about Mr. Zeifman firing Hillary. As you may know, Jerry Zeifman fired Hillary for unethical practices during the Watergate Investigation. Why exactly was Hillary fired? “Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.” Zeifman’s story is important. Not only does it go to character, it goes to a lifelong pattern of lying and obfuscation. And, it took Zeifman twelve years to get it aired. After Watergate, Zeifman could not recommend Hillary for any subsequent position of public or private trust, nor furnish her with a letter of recommendation. Again, Hillary Clinton is a bold-faced liar, who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Should anyone doubt Mr. Zeifman's veracity regarding the Clintons: http://theseedsof9-11.com

The Clintons corrupted the soul of the Democratic Party. -Henry Ruth, lead Watergate courtroom prosecutor.

Of course, when you're on the verge of dropping out due to poor performance nearly everywhere, a former staffer comes up with, natch, a "Clinton/Obama '08" ticket.

The site could at least have tried to be more ostensibly even-handed by simply calling for one of them to be at the top of the ticket.

Shameless and despicable.

Obama Supporters:

You have just handed the White House to McCain which means 4 more years of the Bush agenda. You have no clue how politics is played.

I hope you like him.

This is a terrible idea! Obama on any ticket is a losing ticket. Rev. Wright plus the corruption of Rezko will sink Obama in the general. He is unelectable, and as VP would make Hillary unelectable.

If anyone's wondering where all the recent nutjobs came from, I'm pretty sure they're the result of Taylor Marsh's site.

I'm starting to believe Clinton Derangement Syndrome applies about as equally well to her supporters as it does her detractors.

I apologize to the American people for them, Including Me, having to go through the endless lies of the Clinton campaign - including Chelsea. Sen. Obama is the only one that should be on the ticket, along with whomever he picks as the VP. Hillary is a liar and will not tell the American people the truth. Over the past week, she has been caught in a couple of WHOPPERS! It's pretty sad and then the history of her lying and stealing 34 years ago...

She is shameless and has alreeady hurt her chances.

Obama Supporters:
You have just handed the White House to McCain which means 4 more years of the Bush agenda. You have no clue how politics is played. --Downriver Dem

"The person who puts together a strategy that wins elections is obviously going to lose elections--always go with the loser if you want to win" is not actually a strong argument.

Not buyin' it. Obama is ahead. Why on earth would he take second seat to Hillary? The Clinton's have had their chance.

Moreover, the resume padding by Hillary shows just how little experience she actually has. Indeed some of it is negative experience (Iraq vote). Try as she might she cannot concoct enough exaggerated stories about how she solved the problems of the world (with no clearance), "saved" No. Ireland, when she did no such thing, and ducked incoming in Bosnia (not!). She claimed to be against NAFTA all along. She wasn't. Now Mark Penn "left" the top strategist position, but he didn't really. He's just had a change of title. And then, as if the above isn't enough, it now turns out Hillary dissembled about the sad health care story she has told for days. the woman DID have insurance and Hillary is not telling the truth.

Honestly, you would thing she'd learn. We are in a new century and need new leadership. Enough is enough.

Someone at the site of fake radio host and fake author Taylor Marsh is sending people over here. Expect the recent trickle of illiterate comments to turn into a river as soon as they finish the latest issue of Cat Fancy.

I prefer this ticket!

Joe Mc

this is another desperate attempt by the Clinton campaign to sell a false hope for them

Clinton needs Obama
Obama doesn't need Clinton

It's about moving forward - not backward

Your first line
"Hillary/Obama '08 becomes official today. In a way."
is really misleading --

If these people were really intersted in UNITY they would offer a ticket with both candidates - order to be determined --

This Clinton first ticket is definately connected to her campaign

Marc- please - at least let us know you get it

If anyone has a site where we can sign a petition that states: "OhmiGawd, No!!" to this loser of an idea, please feel free to post.

Her conduct of her campaign is the opposite of everything Obama stands for, and he would be effing crazy to add her to the ticket and try to explain it with a straight face. After the convention, he could spend his time on the road explaining the various scandals that will inevitably fall out of the Clinton's walk-in skeleton closet. Then if he got elected despite dragging the Clinton baggage train, he could look forward to having both Clintons sabotaging him in Congress and elsewhere.

Really. Bad. Idea.

You have no clue how politics is played.
Others have already rubbed your nose in this, but ... HRC has lost the nomination because she has made bad political decisions.

So who has no clue here?

As for the general election, I have to assume your assertions about unelectability are informed by a similar cluelessness.

If the Clintons choose to reside in a cesspool, I commend their freethinking approach, but not their sense of tasteful interior design. Equally, I see no reason to visit for the weekend. The idea of a unity ticket lost all credibility when Ms Monster began endorsing John Fester McCain as CinC.

How "back of the bus" of the creator.

If you think this idea is as lame as I do...go to that web site and type in your name as "NO WAY JOSE."

Maybe they'll get the message that no one wants to see this ticket.

If BursonMarsteller can't have the top bunk, they'll take the bottom bunk.

WHY? WHY? WHY? HOW YOU GUYS SO STUPID AND HOW YOU GUYS DESPRATE.HILLARY GO BACK TO NY WHERE YOU STIL HAVE A SHOT. I PLEASE REMOVE THIS "Authorized & Paid For By Clinton/Obama 08" BECAUSE OBAMA DIDN'T AUTHORIZE IT; YOU GUYS ARE SUCH A LOST; GET A LIFE

This picture is an oxymoron.

Ummm, excues my language but why the f*&^ would Obama be VP and she President when Barack is ahead?! Please, I won't be signing that backwards mess anytime soon.

Obama will never get my vote, there is no way to dress up that unqualified, flim-flam man and make him suitable for President, Vice President or any other office above dog-catcher.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! THERE ARE FAR MORE HONEST VP CANDIDATES.

I WOULD NOT VOTE FOR IT.

OBAMA '08 PRESIDENT AND ANYONE BESIDES HILLARY.

Absolutely, Hillary and Obama BOTH need to be on the same ticket.

If not, then 50% of the Democrate voters will be furious if their candidate is not involved in the President race, and they will not vote.... or worst vote for McCain.

This will give the President to McCain by default.

For the good of the party and our country, we need BOTH Hillary and Obama to run on the same ticket and beat McCain.
