The Page?!? By Mark "Drudge rules my world" Halperin? Please. McCain has already figured out how to win the press. Slap "Straight Talk Express" on a bus. Invite press corps to cushy Sedona ranch (who's the elitist, again?) and feed them ribs. Sit back and laugh as you intentionally conflate Iran, Iraq, al Qaeda, Sunni and Shiite without consequence. 
The Sedona complex was apparently one of eight homes that the McCain's own. Seducing journalists is an old McCain specialty, facilitated by right-wingers screaming "liberal bias" about a largely conservative press. (It's called "working the refs"). The AP returned the favor with flowers and most recently with homage of doughnuts. John McCain's media manipulations have been masterful. John McCain doesn't know Shia from Sunni (he made the error at least three times, if it's not abysmal ignorance he's prepping to lie US into another war). John McCain is now FOR TORTURE (he'd been against it until there was an actual bill he could be a "decider" on). John McCain thinks Greenspan (of subrime, ARMS, and housing bubble fame) is who he needs to give him a primer on his woeful ignorance about economics. John McCain is FOR tax cuts for the elite, has a cadre of elite lobbyist literally running his campaign (they'll run his Whitehous, too). John McCain's lobbyists helped hand the Europeans our military manufacturing (AIRBUS), helped defend Blackwater, and even given special favors to the giganto-conservative-media-olopies. John McCain has shown a clear decades long pattern of favoring the rich and pandering to the media going as far back as when he was doing favors to help Keating get out of being investigated for the Savings and Loan fiasco (that we, the American citizen's picked up the tab for). Now John McCain is helping hand out billions in tax dollars to BEAR STEARNS while snubbing those American citizen's that got sucked into Greenspans Con game. McCain is more of the same Republican game. Loot the country and socialize the costs and risks so that regular Americans pay to bail out the Republicans base: the elite wealthy and their enablers in the media.

Marc, what is your point? Are you looking to savage McCain, just because of his GOP. Does not HRC and BHO do the same? He was on Hardball last week. Did not that make you happy? Why are you unhappy now?
The best blog today is The Page/Time. It spares No one. No one. Clinton plays dirty; she is a toast. Obama plays elitism, he is toast. McCain votes different, he is a toast. No one can identify whether the blog is democratic, GOP, independent, etc.
I want to see such at blog at the Atlantic. Instead, I see the following:
Andrew Sullivan: Protect Obama (so my essay on him becomes a history piece). If Clintons attacks Obama, quickly cite people who disagree. Muddy it up. No one must tough Obama. Must protect my Atlantic article. Must link it many times. Must cite it many times.
Matt: Must hide from people my affluent life; must constantly cite fellow bloggers who think alike to protect my biases; must ignore conflict-of-interest as I am not a GOP; must use all possible avenues to bury McCain with out of context.
Marc: Take pleasure on mentioning campaign quotes. Must never say negative about democratic. Must roast GOP. If GOP says anything about Obama, must ignore it and instead focus on GOP.
