The Atlantic's Boldest, 4/4

04 Apr 2008 11:47 am

A semi-regular corrections column.

1. Lots of typos this week. Sorry about them.

2. Treasury Secretary Henry PaulsOn spells his name thusly; he is not "Paulsen."

3. Barack Obama raised $40m in March from 442,000 contributors, not whatever number I initially had up there.

How many bottles of correction fluid must you have used up on these webpages?

The errors annoy me a lot less when Marc cops to them.

fix Paulson's name in the text of your previous post too- he's still "Paulsen" there.

While you're at it, it's Colombia, not Columbia.

The typos are not so bothersome to your online readers.

We value quickness over perfection.

...and Jimmy Carter never endorsed Howard Dean in 2004.

I visit this blog 2 to 3 times a day and value Marc's efforts greatly. His efforts to correct any mistakes he make are both appreciated and admirable.

What surprises me is how few mistakes Marc makes.

Note to other readers: This is a blog. It follows that these posts are not edited by someone else. Marc types in what he learns, makes an honest attempt to read the post over and then uploads them to the server for our consumption.

I echo Chris in valuing Marc's orientation to speed over perfection.

Keep up the good work Marc.

Thanks for the corrections. On typos, watch the use of there/their and principle/principal, which are used incorrectly in posts on April 4 (1:39 p.m. and 12:23 p.m.).

But great blog overall - lots of useful and interesting information.
