Attention scanner enthusiasts: the official callsign of the aircraft carrying Pope Benedict is "Shepherd 1."

He'll be arriving at Andrews Air Force Base around 4:00 pm.

Listen here, and you might hear the magic words...

I think "shepherd" is a perfect term. You know what they say about shepherds on those cold, lonely nights. The Pope's flock just happens to contain little boys, rather than female sheep.

This is the guy who, under John Paul, told Catholic priests to keep evidence of abuse secret, effectively obstructing justice. The result was that in many cases in the U.S., the church was able to stall long enough to run out the statute of limitations. That means this is the man who actively protected men who raped children. This guy is one sick f***, and I find it disgusting that our president is meeting with him.

Of course, as all the torture evidence piles up, it's pretty obvious that Bush is one sick f*** too, so I guess they're peas in a pod.
