The Hill is reporting that Sen. John McCain and Cindy McCain have more than $100,000 in credit card debt.
Next campaign stop: Suze Orman? ("Jaaahn. You. Can't. Afford. That.")

With John McCain as president, who needs T-Bills to service the national debt? He'll just put it all on his AmEx card.
Gaucho, better yet - he'll put it on his wifes card.
Somebody's got to come up with a good earmark joke here somewhere.
Sorry to nitpick, but I think it's spelled "hock". It's only hoc in latin, as in "ad hoc". I only mention it so that poor John doesn't have to; you know how test he got when Obama misspelled "flak jacket".
From nitpick to trivia, the man who created Visa was Dee Hock. What are the chances?
cw, When Latin is your first language, you're bound to get testy about it's misuse.
It costs alot to fill up the Family Jet... and Cindy just didn't have the Green to do it in Cash...
Just a little case of Trophy Wife Syndrome. Nothing to worry about.
...or maybe Trophy Husband Syndrome. From what I gather, Cindy could probably call home to the folks and have them purchase those nasty credit card companies outright.
Only the Burmese ones.
100k is probably about a day's worth of interest on Cindy's trust fund. I don't think she's getting threatening phone calls in the middle of the night or anything like that.
I am wondering where all the outraged commenters are? The same ones who went ballistic when Ambinder posted a very reasonable post questioning Obama's flip flop on the Iraq war. Here's a post on personal information, not issues, attacking McCain. Where's the outrage from the same people accusing Ambinder of being either in the tank for McCain? We need more negative coverage of Obama to even things out.
How can a man who has a "sugar moma" be so much in debt? May be the debt is related to the money that "sugar moma" spent on drugs while she was addicted to them? A man who can not manage his own money and credit cards, how can he manage the nation's economy? No one should trust a man like McCain.
Notice in the story that the cards in question are American Express. Many financially savvy folks use their Amex cards for everything under the sun to rack up rewards points for free goods and services. Most likely the case here.
Gawdfather: The savvy ones who use AMEX to rack up points
Seems to me the reported amounts may not be "debt" carried month to month, but just the balances on a particular month-end reporting date. Given Cindy's resources, these amounts may very well be sums she pays off in full each month.

Deficit spending is good for the economy, right?
