McCain Launches Battleground State Ad Blitz

06 Jun 2008 10:39 am

Sen. John McCain launches his first major ad campaign today with a spot highlighting his martial history. The ad is full of the specter of death and sacrifice. McCain: "I hate war. And I know how terrible its costs are. I'm running for President to keep the country I love safe." The last 80 frames or so make use of a startling but effective profile photograph, with McCain's facial crags (read: valleys of experience) played to full effect. The volley of ads will cost the campaign $3m and will run in nine battleground states including Michigan, Colorado and Missouri.
